QUOTE(leekaisuen69 @ Dec 16 2015, 03:18 PM) dude... takkan u compare 300 threadwear sdrives against 180 threadwear ad08r??? i personally do think threadwear hav big impact on road grips. cause i've seen ferrari lambo's wif pirelli tires of 60 threadwear! hahaha.. i guess changing engine oil=change tires also. XD i'm not even talking about treadwear.

QUOTE(leekaisuen69 @ Dec 16 2015, 02:58 PM) so far i've used before ps3 re002 and f1. so far most impressive still ps3. even with threads well below 50% still grip nicely on dry n wet. most probably trying f1 or re003. im on archilles now. not bad for a super economical tires. can full throttle on genting roads, ofcourse my car no power la. hahaa.. but it lasts me like 10-12k km already well below minimum tire thread edi. tq for the comment... much appreciated Rather than Achilles, I'd go with GT radial for value for money tire. I've seen cases whereby Achilles ATR Sport 1 & 2 have the tread/grip compound looks shaven off and shows sign of separation after >60% usage.

Yeah pretty much lol But yes and no situation. Cheapskate me thinking similarly as you, however solely on performance, I think there's more there is to it when it comes to tread patterns being asymmetric or directional.

Hi all,
I'm currently using 185/55/16 Bridgestone turanza er300.
Someone quoted me 195/50/16 Yokohama bluearth AE50 with price RM270.
Is this Yoko will give me the same experience as Bridgestone in terms of grip(Dry + Wet)? Is the price OK?
Thank you.

I've used a set of Goodyear EfficientGrip before, and they were fantastic, quiet tyres with good wet+dry grip and decent treadwear.
