how long that my tyre can last ? got almost 3 months more?

There's no date to say how long can it last, depends on what the tyre have to go through now.
If the tyre does not in contact with water the it might last longer.

QUOTE(dinnor @ Jun 8 2015, 04:20 PM)
hi, just recently went to tire shop ,
the mechanic said my front tire so bad already, he did an alignment and change that front tire to rear
he said i need to change it since the condition already bad, maybe can use at least 3 more months,

tire was silverstone brand as it come as stock tire for proton persona

user posted image

and i know it was my own mistake since i not really monitor the tire condition,
mechanic said that i need to check and make sure the pressure of the tire in good condition, at least 2 weeks need to routine check for pressure
cry.gif

but what i've already done?
since i use that car about 1 and half year and the millage just about 22000 KM only, i did not check the tire pressure on my own,
only let SC to do and check the tire pressure during services.

What's the dimension for polo 1.6 15" rims? Is it 100 or 114.3?
Thinking of fitting in 235/60/16,5x114.3 rims.

oh, come one.. do you guys know how dangerous is it to use bald tyre? some more until can see the steel belts?? sweat.gif
below the threadwear indicator, the rubber compound is hard type, not sticky type like the thread rubber.
using bald tyre even on dry road will not give same amount of grip compare to tyre with remaining thread.

Just noticed I reply wrongly, I thought you are the one with punctured tyre.
Just use your tyre until reach the threadwear indicator. the cuts, if it is not deep then still can use, if deep then better change it.
Or if you got budget, just change 2 tyre first.

don't play with botak tyres. learned my lesson. traveled at 80km/h the rear tyre burst and the car skittered and bang the divider. total damage rm 1700 with 2 new tyres. penny wise pound foolish . 2 new tyres cost only rm300. wub.gif rclxub.gif

oh believe me it was very unintentional.

some more than spirited driving few times in a row within a week up down ulu yam/gohtong/genting etc did the tire in way before they were due. not to mention the long over due rotation of 1k km (the way my tire wears, i have to rotate them every 7-8k km)

so.

my saving grace, is the stability control and i suppose, above average driving (and VERY used to speeds) compared to majority of other drivers.

my 2 new tires will cost between 800-1.2k
banging my car, hmm just the headlamp alone is already 1.8k; there's 2 headlamps.

rest assured i don't kid around with tires nor with my car.
I may not the perfect person to say this since i just recently bang my car towards the wall with curb sticking out so only wheel damage.

however they are with Yokohama AD08R and they have nothing to do with my cc5 so don't even attempt to place blames laugh.gif
