Anyone tried replacing with used tyres before?

My persona front tyres are gone case. Left side lost 10PSI per day and right side lost 20PSI per day due to multiple puncture + cracks.

Gonna change them end of this month. Ask my mechanic and he asked me if I want to try those used tyre taken out from car used only for shows one. Approx RM150 per piece. CC5 cost RM240 now wink.gif

to think michelin PS3 (cant remember if got 60 profile, you can always go 55 profile), is about that price, there really is no reason for shitty cc5 laugh.gif

=edit=
for my case/size, cc5 is in the 4xx price, which i can get Yokohama Advan DB (yeah, those ah beng advan sticker you see? lol)

so ya used tire, and now finally got rid of it for all 4 Advan DB laugh.gif

195/60 is a bit thick sidewall, almost 1 cm thicker than 195/55. It will be much more comfortable but IMHO a bit too thick and start to feel like too soft. If you like to lean on corners hard and fast then 195/55 will feel much better and more responsive while still giving reasonably comfortable ride quality, so a good balance between handling and comfort.

Even PS3 can get below 240 already for that size. My friend bought one not too long ago for 230 all inclusive.

Of course not coz it's the same tire width. It would actually give you better steering response and better handling as the tires will be a bit stiffer.

BMW F30 M Sport

Actually that's the size for the Rear wheel.
It's a staggered set up.

Front 225/45r18
Rear 255/40r18

225/45r18 is quite common and can be found easily. 255/40r18 on the other hand though..

Advan dB is mid performance class tires. If you really like cornering fast maybe better try high performance ones like Michelin PS3, Goodyear F1-D5, or Bridgestone RE003.

PSS also does not have that size but there's the older PS2 available in that size in the Michelin MY web. Other good option is the Goodyear F1 Assy2 which should be better than the older PS2.
