it's based on individual preferences, its best to trust your ears than the other thoughts. For me, i trust 100% on review because they have high end gear and good environment for serious listening,if you go to lowyat, the environment will be against over you and you dont know what kind of sources they feed the speakers. So the outcome of audition will be vary. The most important is, if your taste in music sucks like me atleast according to beggarmaster2000 laugh.gif i recommend you to trust established reviewer. icon_rolleyes.gif

S530D have all the basic EQ functions like volume for Bass, Treble, Subwoofer (and even LCD backlight contrast XD)
S530D got both wired and wireless remote thumbup.gif

Corsair SP2500 got more functions other than the basic ones mentioned in S530D
useful sound enhancers like late night and karaoke are the best imo, others enhances the sound into fun purposes just to show off only tongue.gif
I'm not sure about the Equalizer part... but I think it has 5-6 bar custom EQ that you can tune it yourself to your taste (correct me if I'm wrong)

wired remote included but unfortunately no wireless remote (well it's not useful anyway)

@power911

no, you cant tune the EQ there is fixed EQ such as classical, pop, jazz, mod x,action, drama??,FPS,action gaming, headphone and reference(no EQ).

and according to manufacture, corsair at its best when you pair it with hi end SC and classical EQ.

So, i'm not alone after all? hahaha

owh okay

and that soundcard thingy, that actually applies to any speakers XD (soundcard must always be better than the speaker)
if not later your high end speaker amplifies all the rubbish clicks and pops from your crappy soundcard icon_rolleyes.gif

What you need to post is, your budget and what will you use the speaker for? (movies/games/recording/R&B music/techno/jazz/etc)
You might also wanna post some additional info such as your current speakers or your room size so it will be easier for us to judge you best speaker purchase thumbup.gif

Edifier M3500

but if you can top up till RM400 you could get Edifier R501 MKII
the best you can get for cheap.

logitech is only good if you're going to buy the expensive range, the cheap ones are so so only wink.gif

For gaming? you need to rise ur budget a bit. Either go for Logitech Z623 or Edifier R501 MKII. Both got sufficient bass for ur gaming icon_idea.gif

Logitech Z506 if your room is really small. no point in big s5.1 peakers if the room is small.
