Thinking of AKG K44 over Superlux 668.

Maybe you can consider this. Note that I don't know the seller and I don't know how well it sounds with your preferred genre. I just know that the headphone is pretty good for me. tongue.gif

Urmm, 1st Question, is there any DIY cables for my DT770pro? The cable abit cacat de. Need to push it deeper to get the sound quality back to normal.

----------
2nd question : Budget of RM 800

Earphones that can use everyday. Must be durable and good in term of sound quality. Please no Beats Lady Gaga.

yo Cleric..i currently own a sennheiser IE6 and i recommend it because of very small size , light weight , and it fit really good + the sound is really really good..it suit almost any song u listen to...trance,techno,house,classic,pop,dance...romance and etc..

the sound is rather fun listening...its detail very good...sound seperation is good.., treble high mid and low is all very good..and the bass is very deep and good but definitely not for basshead type but still very good..is worth buying at least for me @_@

and yet is very durable..cable is high quality made too..

Hippo Shroom maybe will give the best sound to u since u dont like too bassy..
shroom really nice.. the normal price in jaben is 180 but i think , they will give u discount also..^^

AKG K480NC. It has been consistently rated the better option and it still function as a normal headphones even when the battery runs flat.

Would like to ask, in between HD202 and Koss PortaPro, which 1 gives a better balanced sound quality? Going to use for all type of genres. If got any other headphone suggestion with the budget of RM200, please state out too. biggrin.gif

Actually, the EB might be the better choice since it is the most balanced one than the Shroom (non-EB). I had it once, although it says Extra Bass, the bass was only actually just enough. Not even close to being bassy. Still pleasantly bright. But soundstage is average though.

The other choice would be the Soundmagic PL50 (over-ear style, u might not like that), or PL20. A trusted seller in this forum is selling them. Then there's also Fischer Audio Enigma.

Out of them, I've only had the Shroom EB, and that thing is seriously good for the price. thumbup.gif

Hi there guys, it's me again. I went to Jaben Networks today for some auditioning. I tried a few like Audio Technica, KOSS, Sennheiser, Superlux (all without amp).

Audio Technica (not sure of the model) was kinda... low on bass, more like no bass. KOSS was extremely good on the bass. Sennheiser was just perfect for me and Superlux was just bad on the overall volume (probably cuz I don't have amp?)

So I would like to ask, since Sennheiser HD202 (the one I tried) has the 'cheap' padding which would.. tear off easily, I am able to change the padding to cloth or PV/leather-ish type ?

P/S : The English speaking Indian at SS15 Jaben is VERY VERY helpful. I love the way he assisted me. It was very nice. Thanks Jaben for having such nice worker. Keep it up.

Hi ShinAS and tunertoobe, thanks for both your helpful replies smile.gif

But, I've tried the Shroom before and didn't like it at all. It didn't feel comfortable and doesn't fit that well in me ears.

I also tried the Hippo 10 EB before. I liked it because details and clarity is good, well balanced without the bass being overpowering. But the problem is that it doesn't fit well with my ears. Not at all. Feels like an earbud to me because it doesn't "stick" like other IEMs do. It just clings on to whatever it can sweat.gif I'm guessing it's the design of the IEMs itself, since it's not the regular ones..

Oh and comply tips does help a little bit with the fit/isolation, but I really didn't like the feel of it..

And maybe I might have to go with the Hippo Pearls. Fits reasonably well, sound is balanced like the Hippo 10. I was expecting to try something new, but didn't expect to revert back to the ones which I previously had(sold off Pearls some time ago). Or perhaps there are other recommendations for budget of RM100-200 smile.gif
