I am looking for headphones with this kind of PV covers. Not those cheap ones that tears off when used several times. My budget is up to RM150. Use for it is FPS gaming + music (preferably good bass headset)

Any recommendation ? hmm.gif

Edit :

- Your rig : Normal gaming laptop with SRS (but turned off cuz I don't like it now)
- What type of usage : As stated above, FPS gaming + music
- File format used in your source : MP3
- Genre of music you listen to : Blues, Rock, Metal, Oldies
- Headphone/ earphone type : Headphone
- Other requirements : Like the photo provided, I want the ear thingy there to be PV/leather-like covered, not the cheap soft cloth kind.

If got enough $$ surely can but really can't increase further than 150 (max I can take out). But probably when I start earning $ again in these few months I'll go for that. More suggestions are really appreciated.

Since u have budget constraint, recommend u go for superlux headphone range, search it in audio garage sale.

The widespread belief around here says, no.

I can't find a single convincing review that says these things are for a quality listening time. I've seen a guy having them around his neck, and I admit, they sure are pretty. The guy wearing it even saw my Grado SR60i as we walked by each other, and well, you have to be there to see the look on his face. laugh.gif These are more of a fashion accessory rather than for a serious listening enjoyment. You won't find serious artists who care for sound quality endorsing it, and that speaks for itself.

Since Justin Bieber wears them in public, that thing is losing out on the cool factor though. laugh.gif

For the price (real or fake) you have a lot of better choices out there, and some aren't even bad looking at all.

Try Shure SRH550DJ. smile.gif
Or, Pioneer HDJ500.

These 2 are very good looking and sounds good (according to reviews anyway). Check them out. Don't know about portability of these though.

Hi guys,

I'm an expat from Australia now living in Melaka, maklaysia. So glad I found these forums. I walked around Low Yat asking about headphones and kept being shown 'amazing quality' RM 80 phones from Creative etc. When I asked about Sennheis/AKG/Shure/etc I just got blank looks. Anyways..

I'm after 2 pairs of headphones. Listed seperately below:

- My Rig: HTC Incredible S
- Type of usage: Home/Office
- File format: MP3 320 / FLAC
- Music genre: Trance; almost exclusively psychedelic. Rolling bass with lots of squelchy techno and melodies over the top.
- Budget: RM 500-1000
- Headphone/ earphone type: Ear-Pad/Full-Size
- Other requirements:
-Some noise isolation would be good. Nothing open backed. Even though the office is quiet, my house can be crazy (with my wifes 3 sisters running amok!).
-Something that doesn't fatigue too quickly, thinking 1-2 hours of use at a time.
-A location/store to buy any recommendations - I'm new here and don't know my way around much! blush.gif

I was thinking maybe HD 25-1 II by Sennheiser here?

***

- My Rig: HTC Incredible S
- Type of usage: Sport/Gym
- File format: <as above>
- Music genre: <as above>
- Budget: RM 150-300
- Headphone/ earphone type: earbud
- Other requirements: - nothing really. I've tried various Shure IEM's in the past for this but due to IEM nature of having to be 'in'/fitting well, they always seem to slip out. Maybe that was just my weird ear/sweat or something. Also Shure's cables have always broken in the past for me, so something a little more durable wouldn't go astray.

***

Is there any stores with demo 'phones? Obviously there's no substitute for listening to your own music on headphones before you buy. Elsewise any store recommendations (can be in KL or within 90 mins of Melaka) with good people would be fantastic too. Thankyou for your time guys!

Hey, trance music we do have a few recommendations but well, prolly not Sennheiser (sorry Sennheiser fans), but most importantly is you get what you want. Come Jaben to try out and get to pick what you love with your own ears.
