Meaning Jaben has most of the items you recommend me above??

No not really. Just the Hippo and the Koss AFAIK.

There are places to audition a few of the Fischer Audios, I just forgot where. Don't know where for the others. My personal experience is limited to the SoundMagic and Hippo. The main thing is, whatever you choose from these manufacturers, they are worth the money. Maybe Jaben has some other headphones within your price range that I don't know of, so go to the branch closest to you to check them out. smile.gif

At your price range and with your rig and requirements, if you can't audition them, read a lot of reviews, look for the respective owners and fan club in this forum. IMO there are so much bang-for-the-buck IEMs and headphones at that price that choosing any of them would turn out nicely, as long as you look at the right manufacturers. If you find something that you like and it seems to have the sound you want (like good bass, smooth treble, or unobtrusive mids, or whatever), try looking for a place that sells the or a place to audition them. If you can't find any, ask here, maybe there's an owner that can give an accurate opinion, or you can arrange a meeting to try it out.

I'd actually suggest you to get back to the Yuin PK3... And spend the rest of the money on some CMOY amp or some sort. tongue.gif But you should be concern about build-quality issues as well? (well, I have my PK3 with me for over a year without problems though.. What happened to yours?)
If he loves the Yuin PK3's sound he might find Yuin PK2's sound signature to be a little hard to accept. tongue.gif Too bad he's from Penang, else he could drop by my place and give em a test.
Come to think of it.. I want to make an order from Head-Direct for a bunch of those Yuin foams soon.. Shipping is ridiculous though, so if anyone wants to join in for a bulk may drop me a message before I open any sort of thread or what not. smile.gif

Hmm Yuin PK2 and PK3 has big difference in SQ? Mine I think used it for over 3 years and the cabling starts to tore... so now 1 side i need to adjust and hold it only got sound sad.gif
Btw still can get Yuin earphones on market?

By the way, how does Klipsch Image S4 fare with Yuin PK2/3?

Thanks bro, how is the SQ if compare to Yuin PK3? Better?

---------------------------------------------

I just got myself Klipsch S4 IEM, but when I plug it into my ears it sounds very "deep" & "muffed" and not as clear/crisp like Yuin PK3 did, cant get used to the sound... is this normal for Klipsch S4 or generically all IEM sound "deep" and not crisp? Kinda worry I got a fake earphone... any idea how to test/check if its genuine?

Hi everyone, back again, this time need advice for a earphone...

My usage:

Player: 90% for my power gaming desktop, 5% for occasional netbook listening, 5% for iPod shuffle 4th Gen

using for: 10% music, 60%watching high quality animation, and 30% gaming (50% visual novel based, all BGM are those clear-and crispy type, and required clarity due to conversation; 50% serious gaming such as FPS, Action and ambience bass and "direction" needed)

Music Source: mostly MP3 & AAC
Genre: Classical, Vocaloid, soundtrack and trance

Personal: Prefer IEM

Budget: RM 150 or below (please recommend me more than one choice thanks)

Reason of choosing IEM over headphone: No aircon, too hot for wearing headphone 4++ hours continuously, plus more portable.

Personal note: where can I find high grade audio extension? brand?

Thanks a tons again...

Hello audiophiles,

So my trusted 3 year old MX360 earphones partially died to day. The right ear was dead. I had just taken it out of my pocket and it just stopped working =(
dat earphone
Now I'd like a recommendation based on my past use. An upgrade would be nice but nothing top of the line.
- My Rig: laptop, desktop, iPhone
- Type of usage: music, games, movies, basically if I need to listen to something from a digital source I plug it in.
- File format: mp3 I guess
- Music genre: Pop/Rock/Indie, nothing too metal-heavy.
- Budget: <150 please. Preferably as low as possible for the quality. I'm comfortable with paying around 100.
- Headphone/ earphone type: Conventional earphone, I don't need in ears or anything.
- Other requirements: I'd like something to last me quite some time, something nice and simple but durable.

Thanks in advance laugh.gif I'm currently considering the MX560. Do tell me if there's something I should consider about it.

I will spend one more day listening to half my buddy before mourning his loss cry.gif

You may want to consider the Koss iSpark as well. With the inline mic, it allows you to do VOIP on your iTouch and iPad 2.
