QUOTE(AVFAN @ Aug 14 2017, 10:28 AM)
u can try it on another device, e.g. yr tv or another box, see if the same happens.

*
I did try on my laptop, the cursor is smoother. However I did not try to turn off the laptop and turning it back on.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Aug 14 2017, 10:28 AM)
one small thing... everytime u switch on the device, the cursor is not seen.

u need to press a button on f10, e.g. "back" to activate it.
*
Yup, understand that.
But, if it is "disconnected" like in my case, pressing any button on the F10 except the power won't work. The LED won't light up with button pressed, which makes me think the receiver isn't responding to the remote, or the receiver is not in on state.

Yes indeed.

I read somewhere Q10Pro standby mode isn't working? How do I differentiate standby mode and off mode?

I've read there's no standby mode. Though it could have been enabled in a later firmware. AVFAN can confirm its availability on the latest firmware.

I do not know what this standby mode is! biggrin.gif

Standby... meaning main power on, box is off, red indicator light on?
Or like windows, put to sleep?

Afaik, himedia boxes all dun hv sleep function.
What for? Waste power?!
Boot up time is like 20-25 secs.
Faster than my bluray disc player or hyppbox!

Yup, more like a PC going into sleep mode. By the push of a button, sleep/wake up is near-instant (same on the Neo U1). Beats waiting 20 seconds from cold boot. Uses significantly wayyyy less power than that refrigerator of yours in the corner running 24/7. tongue.gif

I see. Thanks for trying to reproduce the issue.
It would be probably the TV that has less than good audio support.

i can think of 2 things u may wanna check on this DTS buzz noise problem which shouldn't happen.

.. yr tv audio settings, toggle surround on-off and see if any diff.

.. if u have hyppbox or some other device(s) connect to TV, disconnect them and see if any diff.

red light = off, reboot <25secs.

if only Q10pro connected to TV, and nothing else, can't find another culprit! biggrin.gif

i am curious why yr tv gets that "dts buzz" as i assume it has to be a new TV, 4k.

i have used 3 himedia models on 3 diff TV's, hdmi direct to TV, never had that.

Yup, no other culprit. biggrin.gif
I hope when I have my sound bar the audio support will be better.

BTW, update on the F10 issue.
Since yesterday I powered off the Q10pro using the power button APK found here.
Now when I turn on the device, my F10 can communicate to the box.
Hopefully this solves the problem for good.

How do I minimize the black android navigation bar when it comes out unintentionally?
I used the update file on futeko which should remove it, but it still comes out when I scroll up in google chrome using the air mouse. sweat.gif

soundbar... i hv never used any...

what u can do is when updating to next firmware (current 2.0.4), do a full one using restore button method, not using the system upgrade app.

that way, u will be sure to remove any unwanted stuff in there now.

of course, this will require u to first backup all apps and reinstall all of them.

good u found the modified power apk effective!

that "navigation bar"... at the bottom of screen, right?

yes, that can pop up after pressing certain buttons by accident.

i have seen it but very rarely - i just power down and up again to get rid of it.

Currently that's what I do, power down and up to get rid of it. This is where the restart button from the power apk comes i handy biggrin.gif

do u know where and from whom it was bought?

original seller will have the last firmware.

if never updated, it will be orig UI, maybe can't do ddtrueHD, google-youtube probably stopped working, outdated subtitles reader.

that much i remember after 3 or 4 updates for similar model.

the main functions should still be fine.

was consolidating my collection... tested all kinds of files, old and new.

even my 4 yr old q5ii can play videos with ddtruehd or dtshdma - with an AVR.

do u not wanna consider getting a real home theater rather than a sound bar?! biggrin.gif
