Hi everyone, wanna check on something...

m17x-r3, may i know what speakers it comes with? i know its from Klipsch, but is it 5.1 ? coz i find the sound is still soft (or maybe i'm too use with my new speakers bombing), even though i have max the sound in terms of in-game and laptop, but still kinda soft, is that normal?

yes, it's claimed branded Klipsch premium internal speakers.
i guess not much different if compare with R2. should be still same as 2.0 speakers.
seem like XPS had JBL are better, come with sub-woofer (2.1 at least) and WAVE enhancement.

wanted to ask as well. if its possible to upgrade my m14x in the future? when games become more demanding? such as changing the graphics card and the processor?

processor might possible, but not for graphics card, you want to change entire motherboard? better buy new system.
most of games more demanding on graphics card instead of processor.

M17x-R3 have 2.0 with setreo speaker, where the sound wont be so nice. 5.1 just through speaker or headset which have 5.1 jacks. currently the best speaker still goes to XPS series......

Can't rely on lappie's speakers to give out IMBA sounds... Best is to carry a pair of RZ Ferox while on the move paired with a good mobile soundcard~

its not that i am expecting the sound from the laptop speakers to be imba, just in my scenario, i find the volume of the sound effects (e.g conversation, music etc) kinda low, i tried configuring it MAX when gaming (in-game) or in WMP (movie) and still find the volume low, any idea why is that? seems to apply only when watching movies or games, the window theme sounds are loud...any ideas?

well i was just enquiring as i wasn't sure. -.-

Ok... Rather than hearing the good side ... can anyone tell the downside of R17xR3?
current malfunctioning issues all those , and other than processor , screen size , and graphic card, m17x is kinda on par with m18x rite ?

then i need to wait another month for a new laptop ? HELL NO XD

i have yet to find a problem except for the speakers

Never really used my lappie's onboard speakers so they can still be considered as virgins~

your's is the right, mine's the left...xD...i called up Dell, i told them i will get it checked after i come back from my business trip....

nope, u are worng, XPS 15 speaker is even better than ferox

Ok .. after some lengthy research .... since i was outdated for so long XD
I've made my choice for my future laptop + its accessories , I hope you guys can tell me your opinions + suggestions about it =D

I decided to go for an M17xR3, price after customization = RM 12k++

And about the accessories ... there are quite a few things im not so sure about >.< not sure are there better options but my current choices are :

I'm still searching for a monitor ...and considering wether should i buy speakers .... cause if im gonna rent a room .... i doubt i will have the chance to blast them... hope u guys can give me some advice on my choices =D btw roccat isku is not out yet =D but i think it will soon

btw my estimation is that all this will be around rm15k all together , if u guys can intro me to some good, honest , cheap shops i would be grateful =D

If your gonna get kb and even monitor...wouldn't it be better if you just went ahead and get a desktop?

my answer's the same with tjinn, seems like you're getting monitor, keyboard....won't you consider a desktop instead? and i see that you're gonna rent a room, won't moving be a hassle later on?
