Rowan, better contact dell asap I think, if you get problem when it is still new, I think you have a chance for a 1 to 1 exchange,
provided if you willing to wait again. Oh ya, congrats on the new lappy. T.J, just noticed you have updated your siggy, already placed an order? |

Just now, first time experienced Battery power drain i.e. Suddenly my M15x could not obtain power from battery, only from power supply. What I did to rectify the problem was:
1. Switch off the laptop 2. Pull out the battery 3. Pull out the power supply 4. With everything off. Just hold the power button (alienhead) for 10 sec. 5. Put back the battery 6. Connect the power supply 7. On the laptop 8. Voila! Problem solved Trust me, you will encounter this at least one time IF you always used your power supply (99%) as a main source to supply power to your laptop. Hope this helps. |

The M17x is very powerful already bro, it shouldn't have much problems gaming the upcoming games You might want to consider it instead, save all the hassle of importing and having warranty problems later on Just my 2 cents @hidz7, yeah, ordered already haha |

That's a lot of power already for me. Regarding the animation designing, you're going to get more software/driver optimization by using Quadro GPU (Nvidia) or AMD Firegl, which is build exclusively for stuff like that. But for me, if you already have dual or single HD6970M, everything will be smooth for you, in fact HD6970M already can handle all games at max currently. Of course for future proof, HD6970M crossfire will have more advantage, its benchmark is almost as high as GTX570 desktop.
