Unless u want to chg ur information eg. like address chg, etcs u can go to dell website or call dell to update it for u.

To chk warranty, just key in ur service tag to chk ur warranty status.

This bugger can compete with normal pc. Excellent choice if you into small notebook. But preferably, 16gb is a must. Bugger, all my ram (8gb) used up when I doing my designing .Monitoring via gadgets (sidebar on desktop).

I already explore everything but still can't find the turbo up indicator. Is there's any?

Overall is a recommended machine if u into portability. Waiting for R4 now. Hope will be 2.0g above processor.

Turbo boost u need to chg in BIos..
The FN + ALien space ship button is switch to max performance settings.
Upgrde ur nvidia graphic card driver if there's latest version available.

U can call dell support helpline to get assistance.

For other brands, sometimes there are stickers within the laptop which prevents the users from tempering with the inner components e.g. HDD etc.
Tearing this sticker would void the warranty... Otherwise, I think there's really not much chances of the manufacturer discovering what users did to their laptops hehe~

Let's see how your M18x fare against Crysis 2 with both DirectX 11 Ultra Upgrade and High Resolution Texture Pack loaded. I do not think it should be a problem for your beloved gaming beast.

If both add-on are to be loaded, a graphic card with 1.5 GB video memory is needed, way beyond what HD 5850 in M15x can provide. Sigh!

GTX580M is quite good compare to most of the market graphic card, but still around desktop GTX465Ti only if not mistaken. still vry weak.

@ Putochip, yeah desktop version is much more powerful and cheaper compared to its mobile counterpart, no doubt about that.

Bios Matter
- Advanced Menu -> Intel SpeedStep = Allows you to enable or disable the intel Speedstep technology. Disabling this may improve performance but will greatly reduce battery life.

What does it mean? Currently mine is Enable. Should I disable to get more speed & power? I don't plan to use battery anyway cause I already disable battery charging at Charger Behavior

Any advise here?

That one is to downclock your CPU when idle..
If you disable it, your CPU will run full power all the time even though you are not using it or just typing on a notepad...

Meaning should I just disable it to get more power? According to Dell, they said won't feel much different. is the same thing.
