QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jun 18 2011, 07:58 PM) Even R1 don't lag based on M11x personal review from our member previously. Well, I want the small yet powerful notebook. Getting bored with 13" & 12" notebook. No fun. Since I stopped playing games and more towards downloading + work and sometimes online games (like burung gila etc), better I get something small. So yours is almost definitely won't lag. But you have other better choice out there with your budget and usage. |

How's the performance so far? Upgrade to 16gb is insane expensive with RM3k++ additional Maybe R4 or R5 release then i install those hehe This post has been edited by doremon: Jun 20 2011, 03:28 PM |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 20 2011, 04:59 PM) Again, 16GB is not worth it, performance gain is not significant. Investing on SSD is another story though, the speed boost is worth the price Thank for the info bro. That y I only go for 8gb (For now HEHE)Summore with the small form factor of the M11x, it will be good to get the SSD so that temperatures can be controlled (personal experience with M14x) QUOTE(viper88 @ Jun 20 2011, 05:26 PM) Thanks for making the Alienware M11X R3 purchase via me. U can buy Dell slim adapter if u feel the alienware adapter not slim enough. I feel its the right choice to go for 8GB ram and 750GB HD currently. The 16GB ram SSD hd price is too expensive currently. Later when the price drop for those 2, you can alwys buy and upgrade it to ur M11X R3. My M11X R2: I7 with 8GB ram is fast and good enough for me. I use it mainly when going outstation for normal browsing, watching HD movies, view videos/pics xfer from digital camera, play games n stock market trading, etcs. Its small compact and perform well. Battery last about 4hrs for basic browsing use. I carry it around with: Sleeves. (go to nearby coffee shop, etcs.) http://www.targus.com/hk/product_details.asp?sku=TSS126AP Backpack. (travel outstation, work etc) http://www.targus.com/hk/product_details.asp?sku=TSB11301AP U can buy Dell slim adapter if u feel the alienware adapter not slim enough. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...l=dell+slim+air Other like Acbel also small and compact adapter. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...hl=slim+adapter Lowyat also selling the white colour version.. 65W.. cheaper <RM100 Other stuff u can consider getting is the protection for keyboard, screen and housing. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...l=tpu+alienware http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry43227361 I will definitely get this one. The one default m11x R3 is so Big Hey Viper88, stop violating my head lah This post has been edited by doremon: Jun 20 2011, 06:00 PM |

QUOTE(viper88 @ Jun 21 2011, 12:49 PM) I also use it for my M11X R2 when travelling outside. If that's the case hehe Im getting it. Im not playing games. Only from miniclip heheheBattery charging time slower abit. Performance wise... still ok. Some heavy duty task/gaming needs high power adapter..its recommended for 90W adapter. |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 21 2011, 09:17 PM) Read but still hinge problem QUOTE(viper88 @ Jun 21 2011, 09:37 PM) Only R1 have hinge problem. 3 years complete cover but will take few days for them to replace it or instant ? Before they replace new one, im sure need to do some investigation right?I'm using R2, no problem ler.. Dell already fix it in newer model. R3 is the latest.. more advance and better version compare to R1 & R2. Urs R3 have 3 yrs complete cover.. no need worries. Any broken parts or faulty hardware, dell will replace it for u. The warranty that u proposed, is it the maximum? Ca I go beyond then that? |
