Looking to replace the HU. Preferable add a tweeter, and maybe keep the 2 door drivers?

I am seeking for next improvement/upgrade for my ICE. I had enclosed the info of my current setup of ICE and will like to know which direction i should upgrade further.

Details of my current setup :

HU : Pioneer DEH 5650

Please recommend what is the next step i shall pursue for further improvement ?

in my head now is, switch 3-way HU, add in Midrange speaker and add in a 4 channel amp with the existing 2 channel transfer for midrange speaker
and the new 4 channel for the front component set.

Your equipment is quite decent.
Just remove the reat stock speakers and retune.
If after this step you think you still need to find room for improvement then only consider upgrading.

yeap seeking for improvement...step by step la..mm..taking out the rear stock speakers..let me put in my checklist...hehe

how much do i roughly need for a woofer, 2 ok ok speaker and 2 mini speaker on the dashboard? total 500 can be done?

2 ok ok speakers are oledi dat price. unless u wan 2 lousy speakers then maybe 300 can get. and oso if u wan a woofer, u have to install an amp for it as well. i think dat need almost 800 for a lousy amp and sub + installation and sub box.

So I will be getting my BLM soon.... looking to spend about RM1.3k initially to improve the sound from stock.

Priority right now will be to swap the standard HU for a better one (Pioneer maybe, must have USB capabilities).

Next to get a decent component set. I think this is all I can afford with the budget I have. Question is would it be sufficient to obtain a good sound or should I invest on an amp too?

perhaps 1.5k will be optimum, 500 for HU, 500 for component set, 300 for a 2 channel amp, and 200 for installation.

go slowly la, buy speakers and head unit first, 1.3k is ok la, 600 for pioneer HU, 700 for component speaker. if can raise to 1500 better hehe...

after that start saving up again, can buy amp, and then sub, and need money for wiring too

thanks for the input guys, will either go without amp or maybe throw in a 2-chan. Hopefully mid-year got increment so can waste more money

rm300 we seldom have suggestion la. juz go with ur heart. for mid it's ok, juz dun use it for sub since it's low power.
