it was the same formula used when i calculate for RMB.
i believe is JPY issue, maybe they use the outdated JPY value from visa?
oct to nov is 1000 yen = rm35.5-36
and during Nov end is 1000 yen = rm34-35

I have contact aeon to ask for this issue, they said they will check with me on the admin fee and give me a call back by today. Hope is calculation error for JPY, else i have to use my MBB card for my japan trip.

yeah man, please do keep us updated. I am reserving one of my next year's quarter quota for watami usage in japan too.

both my JPY transaction was done in paypal, with option to 'let local bank to handle currency conversion rate ( using visa/master rate)'.
so the amount should charge in JPY to aeon.

at my Nov 26th transaction, post at 28th Nov, the aeon authorize department tell me that they receive payment for 7050yen, with claim amount of rm256, then aeon charge 1% on it to become rm259.

the claim amount they said is submit by paypal based on posted rate at 28 Nov. this mean the rate is not calculate within aeon but from paypal.

then i contact paypal, they mention they submit the payment of 7050 yen from aeon, conversion is done by aeon.

I have now confused.
aeon say check with paypal, paypal said check with aeon. this never ends.

hi friends,

I've recently spent my cimb card overseas. They had informed me that the conversion rates comes visa international. Upon checking at visa website, there is a place where we can input our bank fees where i keyed in 1%. Upon checking my bill, i realised that i was overcharged with 1% extra by cimb.

This means visa gives a horrible exchange rate and top of that charges 1% exchange rate. Then Cimb charges 1% extra. Total is 2% instead of 1%.

Has any bro's been through this situation. I lodged official complain with BNM and guess what. i opened all my bill dated 6 years and got my extra 1% back. Please be aware!!!!!!!

They refund u 1% for those transaction dating 6 years back?
