QUOTE(7989k @ May 6 2011, 12:08 AM)
I think you had better wait for local launch, or if you are waiting for HTC sensation or iPhone5 or whatever, then had better wait for these phone's launching. No need to rush for a shining new phone, time is on your side. With time passing you will get a lot of reviews, discounts(maybe) and patiences.
*
If wait for HTC sensation or iPhone5, quad core android phone will be out. brows.gif tongue.gif

No it won't, HTC Sensation is set to launch in June, although we don't know about Malaysia, usually late.
iPhone5? Who cares?
I don't mind to wait until June for SGS2 really, but the wait will be so damn suffering  cry.gif
*
I think I read somewhere HTC Sensation can be pre-ordered by Vodafone UK this month. (Forgot where I seen this)
And there are rumors LG is preparing to launch quad core phone by end of this year or maybe early 2012. hmm.gif

Can't keep on following technology. The pace is too fast to catch up and I don't like it !! Every 6month need to sell phone. rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(blackchides @ May 6 2011, 12:36 AM)
Meh, to me a phone's camera is just for emergency snapping. The size of these phone camera sensors will never give you the image quality of a dedicated camera anyway.

As long as the images are not ridiculously bad, and most of them aren't these days, I don't see it as a dealbreaker.
*
Well, hopefully it will be as good as my DHD. Most of the time I use my phone cam to snap pic when i'm out about.

QUOTE(OrangePillow @ May 6 2011, 12:37 AM)
we hope thats the case...cheers...besides it can be easily overcome later after rooting
*
Hope mine will be OK. I think I'm not going to root it this time. Well, maybe just for removing O2 boot screen. haha

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ May 6 2011, 12:44 AM)
camera is no biggie, i expect indoor shots to be fukups...

My main purpose for a smartphone is heavy web surfing (mobility is the key), heavy online radio streaming (listens to power 98, better then our local fukup stations), constant email retrieving (yahoo mail, gmail, msn), skype 24/7, and sometimes but mayb its rarely used to play games (dont find games really interesting (plays mayb 1-3 minutes, and thats it for the day)

But most importantly, battery, so im getting a 3rd party battery, hence i dont give a sh1t how thin the damn phone is, it does not interest me how thin, its how long can it last while doing what i want it to do, 1 full day meets the requirements (sucks balls, my blackberry did 2 days without charge, and it was the last amongst all, worst is htcdhd, died halfway, pissing phone that was)

but camera really is just to capture the really funny moments unexpectedly, when u did not bring ur camera.
*
My main purpose is the same as u + mine i need a decent camera. haha.. My DHD suck at battery life. Still prefer my BB Bold 2 can last 2-3days on single charge !! Seen XDA thread about battery life, most of them can lasts a day with quite heavy usage so i guess it will be fine for my usage. oh well..

how about the battery guys, is it true lasted for 2 days?
*
Mine lasted from 4pm till 1.30am out from the box with half battery. Use it quite heavily to setup account etc. Quite impressive tbh. Now charging for the first time, so have to give another try later in the morning (UK time now = 4am).

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ May 7 2011, 11:10 AM)
reservation of the phone, though it is invitation to treat, it shows clear intention that the retailer did show intentions of a deal, to the extent of an effort to call the third party as to when to pick up the phone.

As I have accepted his offer, the retailer and third party is bound by a legal contract

arguable, u could bring in the 4 corner rule to f me, heh, that was why i wanted to pay him for booking
ahh yes, sms, with the word forcing him to say can guarantee stock coming by 3??

Added on May 7, 2011, 11:14 amaih but honestly la, how many retailers really know their legal rights???
*
I think if everyone think like you the whole world will be in chaos. Customer sue third party company, third party company sue samsung, samsung sue manufacturer? Never ending process and as you know (i assume everyone know) whenever a new product is out there will surely be more demand than supply hence price is higher but less stock. And that definitely will lead into delay etc. In addition you have to understand where the seller get his supply from. If from the UK then there will be quite a delay due to bank holiday on the weekend even since today O2 and other stores have no stock. And also count in the delivery company efficiencies on delivering an item, custom check + delay.

You have to take a chill pill and relax. If the seller is trustable just sit and wait, the phone won't run away. biggrin.gif

doesnt mean 1 person bypasses luckily thru the custom without sirim and import tax charges, all of us will be that lucky.

this statistics is ridiculous, only 1 person so far we know did not pay for this precise phone, we need a bigger sample to estimate better...

I thought smartphone wont kena tax? blink.gif

From my previous experience, I noticed if the item arrived Malaysia on Friday, mostly you are lucky. But if arrive on Monday, our customs here very 'hardworking' and they have super energetic to open up all the parcel  shakehead.gif

LOL. got such thing? Call DHL to estimate when your item going to arrive and ask them to put it on Friday arrival flight. thumbup.gif

Buy 32GB memory card would be better. No? So total space will be 16+32=48GB. rclxms.gif

Not doing service in electronic or gadget stuff. Msian custom vy susah unless i'm coming back.

QUOTE(lhongwuh @ May 7 2011, 11:58 AM)
As stated earlier, 10% sales tax still hold.
Not to mention u'll have to travel to Shah Alam for Sirim (RM250) + lots of hassle if the item was detained by kastam(LCCT).

Time + petrol wasted to travel around  sweat.gif

They can only arrange the delivery date when item arrived here in Malaysia. At that time, ur item already detained by custom lor  sweat.gif

I mean when you got the tracking number, call them earlier and keep them posted about it. I think is doable. Someone should try it as an experiment. laugh.gif
