Download to pc first and run the .exe file

Overcome Gingerbread is GOOD.

It does improve alot compare to Froyo.

Noticeable Battery improvement & more smoother scrolling
Despite it's only Beta 2.0, it almost perfect.
You should give it a try.

Any1 had tis problem b4? my tab shutdowns itself after it hits 34% battery lvl.. dun tell me im one of the 16% !! T.T

Is your Tab rooted?
If yes, please do a calibration with Battery Calibration app from market.

just sent in my tab at samsung for repair ... at the same time got 4 other tab sending in...

Your Tab really can't make it re-boot?
BTW, what is the reason you give?

Since you mentioned before, the Samsung Technical people already know you, you could ask them to replace a new set.

Overcome 2.0.0 beta2 is nice! I had only used 1.6.4 for about a week or two when GB arrived for the Tab. My current impressions of GB-based Overcome 2.0 are:

1. Smoother overall scrolling experience
2. Notifications pulldown is not jittery anymore
3. Lower quadrant score but overall performance feels better than Froyo-based Overcome 1.6.4.
4. Battery life seems a tad bit better, especially after battery calibration (which one should always do after jumping ROMs)
5. Games play just as well as they did on Froyo (not a heavy gamer myself, only hooked on Spiderman, Shadown Guardian and PES2011)
6. GB + Flash 10.3 have worked wonders on web browsing experience. The Tab web experience is waaaay better than on my previous iPad

im kinda confirm tat wasnt the issue... after so many custom rom installs...

Ha ha, I don't think my poor browsing experience on the iPad was due to just lack of flash. For some reason, I felt quite stupid when browsing with Safari mobile, iCabMobile and even Atomic web browser on the iPad. Maybe the 'i' thing is not really meant for a user such as myself.

Browsing on the Tab (or even my SGS) with Dolphin Mini, Miren and especially Opera Mobile (all user-agents set to 'desktop') has actually made tablet usage worthwhile for me again..

Hm, mine so far only 2 cycle charges. Both also charge at 3x% level. Let me try out to deplet the Tab Batt today.

As from my Settings/Battery use detail/ , I can achieve 5 Hours of LCD On time before I need to recharge the battery at 5%.

Please do let me know about yours.

My Tab is normally on Flight Mode unless I need to go online (i.e. I don't use it as a phone). Played a game for 1 hour 20 minutes or so, still have about 74% of juice left. I suspect my Tab can take about 5-6 hours of LCD active time without data (3G/WIFI) active.

I use SGT as my second phone. Use it to SMS, check mail, browse net (Heavy usage), fb and chatting. Normally I will switch off DATA mode when not in used. As I can see, my SGT can last for 5 hours of LCD active time before the battery drops to 5%.

I am planning to flash to OVERCOME 2.0 beta tonight. Hope it can further extend the battery life.

how can I type chinese character in Tab?

Chinese keyboard, perhaps? Google Pinyin IME, for example.
