QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 22 2011, 11:05 AM) If seller say is original , I suppose he means is Msian original set ?? If so just check the firmware version. Launch phone , type *#1234# follow by phone call button Benny, you reply at the right timing. You will see the 3 firmware codes - look at PHONE : If Msian set should be P1000DX.... or P1000DZ... Any others different two alphabets after P1000 is not Msian sets You can also check the warranty card whether is from Samsung Msia ? Refer post # 1 for other country codes ( under topic Understanding firmware codes) Just wanna ask, if rooted SGT, can port Malaysian Firmware?? I am buying 2nd hand SGT later. Claim to be Malaysian Set. Just view the unit & it's Firmware is P1000DX.... But it's a rooted device. So, just want to know if possible to port Malaysia Firmware to rooted SGT? Now waiting for full set & will complete the transaction later around 3pm. So, add me to SGT Club in 2 hours time. This post has been edited by danieloo: Apr 22 2011, 01:17 PM |

something wrong with my TAB...this is 2nd time happened since I got my TAB.
The battery level jump from 40% down to 15% within a restart... I wonder if there's problem with the battery or the Overcome ROM has miscalculated the battery usage? Anyone have this problem....should I pay SME a visit to send in my TAB? |

QUOTE(thepittbull @ Apr 25 2011, 10:46 PM) Try and wipe your battery stats first... sometimes, when you install a new ROM, the battery stats file gets corrupted. Check out the Tips & Tweaks guide. Done that. Fully charge battery while off. When reached 100%,turn on to recovery & wipe Batt satts from advance menu.Tomorrow gonna try the Batt calibration apk. See if it helps. Else, have to go 1 trip to KL Sentral. |

QUOTE(thepittbull @ Apr 25 2011, 11:35 PM) Yup, sometimes, you've got to do a couple of charge cycles... i.e. 100% -> say 5% or fully drained... then let it charge to 100% again for 1 full cycle. Just did the battery calibration app. Hopes it help.So do this, charge it to 100%, let it run down to say the 3% warning comes up, and let it full charge again without interruption. I occasionally get those drops once in a while when flashing the ROMs... Sometimes it takes two or three good cycles to properly/fully recalibrate... A good app i use for charging cycles, is the Battery Doctor app... Thanks for the head up. So far it's only 3rd cycle charge since I port over to Overcome 1.6.1 Will monitor & see how it goes. |

I found a hairline accross the horizontal @ 1/3 from the top from potrait mode. I quickly do a reboot...it's still there for a short while...now it's gone... Hm...I think I have to send it back to SME for check up... Now, how do I revert back to stock ROM ? May I know if there's any specific ROM for Malaysia P1000DX.... ?? Added on April 26, 2011, 9:56 amSay, from SamFirmware, the updated of P1000DX is : P1000DXKM2 ## P1.PIT Version 2.2 2011 January Is this applicable to Malaysia SGT ? Because I for HTC Desire, there is a specific firmware for Malaysia set. If port wrong one...KO liow.... This post has been edited by danieloo: Apr 26 2011, 09:56 AM |

QUOTE(0300078 @ Apr 26 2011, 09:35 PM) Benny i would like to know is there any good widget that works like HTC Mobile Network widget? I use Widgetsiod 2x to put selectable function at the home screen. Airplane mode just one click. Even can Activate screen lock function. Very useful widget.I find it a troublesome to disable the mobile network by holding the power button and select the deactivate button or going in all the layers in Setting just to stop the Mobile Network. And i tried APNdroid... it just wont work and worse of all i cannot used the mobile network with that app install on my Tab. |

QUOTE(ahrain @ May 3 2011, 11:49 AM) Just got my tab yesterday. Hope to learn from all the sifu here in order to fully utilize my tab. But one thing happen here is, when i bring tab to office, every saying me sohxi and why dont i buy ipad 2. I told ipad only for game and web browsing only but then. .. Haiz Why bother what people say...it's not them who is using. I switch over from iPad 32GB + 3G to this Galaxy Tab. I would say, I use my SGT more then my iPad due to it's size. Well, despite internet & gaming experiene, iPad is more superior, I still prefer my SGT, unless iPad comes in 7" screen size....haha... |

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ May 3 2011, 03:55 PM) You mean still tied to previous google account? I think you'd probably need to factory reset the device. Yah...Factory reset will do.But note, there may still some data in the device memory. I would recommend flash a new updated ROM to clear everything like brand new. * That is if you already know how to flash ROM. This post has been edited by danieloo: May 3 2011, 04:02 PM |

QUOTE(yolk @ May 6 2011, 10:23 AM) Those on overcome and flashed (not full wipe) to 1.6.3/1.6.4 do you still need to flash the JMF modem and do the GPS lock fix code after that ? I switch to 1.6.1 > 1.6.3 and yesterday 1.6.4 All using update ROM from Clockworm Recovery. JMF only done once via Odin when going the first time to 1.6.1 |
