Been there 2 weeks ago. The location is not strategic. And no unique selling points to attract peoples to visit the mall. Retails all run away. Hard to sustain.
BTW, the reason to attracted me there were FOS close shop fire sale.

I heard the tenant there said the mall is going to destructure and build condo.

SS2 mall is Mah Sing project right? That means a new condo from Mah Sing is coming soon. Wonder if they are targeting high end or mid-range condo.

From the first day they build the small store I already felt it's stupid. Regardless what they sell there, people are going to stop by the road to make purchases. So essentially that soon to be major road that connect to sprint highway will again be jammed up from traffic light onwards.

Whoever the officer that approves building the store should be sack.

Last time plan to open a store there.... luckily did not commit.....

I wonder wat happen to all the arowana fish at the top of ss2 mall...... would they buang all the arowana at the back lonkang of ss2 mall ????

Ok Ace77 let me correct the statement. The property is owned by Pramerica AsiaRetail, not MahSing. IJM was the contractor for SS2 Mall did a silly job, the parking ramp damn narrow. New contractor not sure who. I don't see work has started, only saw at the back the river bed some activities to strengthen the slope. Hopefully the redevelopment is better planned out, don't dare to think about the traffic conditions as double parking is a problem along the main road stretch.

it's funny people always complaint about the contractor when contractor is just building in accordance to drawings.
unless it's design and built then different story liao lah.

usually, design related materials, go after consultant and developer
quality matters, go after contractor and developer

at least, that's what i understand from my limited experience.
