I wonder is it due to not allowed to build highrise. Seems like waste this land use for mall only.

the floorplan like not suitable for jusco or any big anchor tenant also...

SS2 is either old ppl or low budget youngsters area, dunno why they build such a mall

you see scenaria north kiara surroundings? they sell expensive means the area high end meh?

if this part of ss2 not low budget, urban food dunnit to close shop and econsave come in lah...

best to demolish and rebuild high rise super high density service apartments. they'll make so much money they'll regret not doing it sooner.

at least there won't be econsave to drag down the image of the area...

it would be wonderful if the low cost flats people can clean up like Singapore HDB or just move out

also the ss2 commercial area is a major crowd puller and makes this place very lame by comparison. even new paris restaurant row of shops are quiet.

i think ss2 mall should be something thematic and very different like health centre (specialist clinics, chiropractor, sports clinic, gym, acupuncture, etc) or indoor sports centre (gymnastics training school, basketball, badminton, all indoor court games, indoor golf, big sports equipment shop, etc).

nobody will come here for normal shopping or food. but for specific services or if highly recommended, people will go where they don't normally go.

and the ss2 mall parking was shit, insult to shoppers who can go to so many other malls. glo mall another one with crap parking.

in 3 years it will be 10th anniversary of this crappy mall with stupidly narrow car park entry

anyway with major road jalan harapan completed now, it's more visible and connected to more parts of pj, completely different situation from before and value of this mall should go up in theory

can fit a fancy market / hypermarket inside

can have business class hotel like best western or holiday inn express. small supermarket or convenience store and cafes, kopitiam.

must have some kind of public transport like mrt feeder/public bus/taxi/grabcar hub.

no hanky panky joint in hotel otherwise auntie and uncle stay opposite will call the police.
