 SS2 mall is a failure since it open begin 2011, (the % taken up is low, almost 1/2 year)

Bangla.. maybe convert it into a bangla shopping mall.. will help.. call it the Dhaka Mall... with bangla ebtertainement and food outlet... sure one and only in P.J.. must be crowded one.. kih kih kih

I believe doing promotion and finding large/big tenants can help... example giving 1 years free or 50% of rental might attract more tenants smile.gif

i remember i came across a post mths ago where kfc was asking for discount on rental but was rejected by the management

Wah.... I thought I want to move to SS2 mall but after reading this thread, I 'll stay away man. Its crazy rental too at RM9-15 per sq ft. ? A bank or a porch restaurant may be able to pay that kind of rent.

This mall will die of natural death.

The things that are sold in Urban food which is the Supermarket in the SS2 mall are way more exp than what you can get from 99 Speedmart, 7 Eleven, Tesco or anywhere else.

The customer's lounge of the gym looks good though.

Yea, Agreed. Citta mall ain't doing good too. As we see, Supply more than demand. Might be the management prob also.

I just google Citta Mall, and saw it. Seems very much better than SS2 Mall. Where is this Citta Mall, how to get there ? Wonder what the rental there.

If I can suggest, from customer point of view, on where to open shop, open la in plaza pantai (bangsar trade centre). I work here and I know atlas (previous owner/management) is under liquidation but I heard things are moving now.

here so many office yet not so much shop. we have to go to amcorp mall la, tm la (few shop also), ride car to bangsar village la, go to midvalley etc. but we have 1 hour lunch time only so not enough time.

can pls more restaurants/ ladies shop open here. here only have 1 salon, I have to wait and make early appointment to wash hair tongue.gif

Been to SS2 mall a year ago when it had just opened and another time last month.

A major disappointment. Except for the nice gym, dont think that mall will thrive.

Personally, i feel the SS2 Mall and Citta Mall is strategically located but if u were to compare this 2 to Empire, U actually cant find any major differences between them apart from their location. But how come Empire is doing so well, even after the gas leak incident ? I feel it is down to the building design component (Mixed development for Empire, commercial retail for SS2 and Citta) and the management/leasing team.

Maybe the gym should take over all the mall and become the biggest gym facility in PJ.
May need to have the gym to sign 10 years agreement with SS2 mall so that SS2 mall don't get greedy and start to charge high rental when the visitor gets more.
