QUOTE(attahun @ Mar 30 2011, 11:12 AM) you will be charged nil income tax if ur salary is less than rm2.5k a month the last i calculated, now may be increased further with additional allocations by gov. In any case income tax filing is a must upon making any income in malaysia with certain terms and conditions. Maximum penalty LHDN can charged is 3 x tax. So if tax value is nil what's the penalty? Figure out your self. However be 100% sure that your tax value = 0.Failing to file the income tax even though tax value is nil may incur penalty by LHDN, rm50 if not mistaken. |

However be 100% sure that your tax value = 0. you only mention maximum value.. there shall be a minimum value, and failure to declare even though nil value is charged under "evading tax" or some sort, it is not charged against value of tax but rather fined or penalty..this was discussed before in one of the income tax thread.. |

Hello lym..i just receive my EA form from my employer. But i dont really know how it works, and i've gone through the BE explanation note from LHDN but still cant understand it very well. SO really need some help here.
1. My total income for this year is RM25,7xx. 2. PCB = RM49 3. Tax Exclusions = RM69. 4. There is no deduction for PCB made at my salary at the moment. The question is, how they get the PCB and tax exclusion value? and do i need to pay tax in this case? and last but not least, how am gona pay it. If there is any site on this page telling that, pls direct me over there. Thx. |

QUOTE(Badakitten @ Mar 31 2011, 03:23 PM) Registration and filing doesn't mean you have to pay tax already. Filing without paying tax is just a record in the tax department. My calculation, total income of rm30k-9k personal relief, -2.7k EPF - rm400 rebate (for chargeable income below rm35k), you need to just pay minimal tax. Since yours only 25k+, then no need to pay tax.... |

Else employ a tax agent. |

e-BE submission : 15 March 2011
Refund received : 31 March 2011 Refund method : Cheque (from CIMB Islamic) Bank Account : Maybank For those who wants their refund via Bank Transfer, should put CIMB account number.... The reason I guess is the LHDN Jabatan Pungutan uses CIMB Islamic current account. Transferring funds from CIMB to other banks involve IBG charges... |
