Hey sifus, now I'm with the standard package:
Streamyx 512kbps paying RM77 per month.

I want to upgrade, but what's the difference between the standard package streamyx 1mbps/2mbps & BB Deal 1mbps/2mbps?

Is the speed diff between 512kbps and 1mbps a lot?

basically x2 of your 512kbps's speed. if you are youtuber. you can have a better experience watching on 320/480p with 1mbps.

My wireless having a problem where the connection always lost ..
Already change the modem from the TM, now is the 2nd modem, but still the same brand Zyxel..
Is this problem refer to modem @ anything else?
Btw, request the 3rd modem with different brand, but need to Zyxel stock clearance 1st, wonder how long it will take ..

But from TMnet website, the price of 1mbps for standard package = RM99 and the price for BB 1mbps is RM110.
Why?

FYI, with standard package, you still need to pay the RM26 phone rentals every month and there's no free unlimited call to TM fixed line nationwide number....

So basically, you will pay = RM99 + RM26 + RMxx (call charges, if any)
= RM126

While for BBD 1Mbps, you will only need to pay RM110 per month including phone rental. Free call to TM Fixed line number and some 'discount' for calling the mobile number and fixed line other than TM provide (Time, Maxis etc)

Fed up with TM's free ZyXel P-600 wireless modem, it's so unreliable and keep restarting by itself out of no reason! Do you guys have this problem with zyxel too?

Should I buy myself a new modem?

Depends... In my opinion, TP Link TD-W8901G should be okay with the average usage....
It's cheap and reliable, less than RM100...

Zyxel supposed to be good brand wor. Top brand in Taiwan for VDSL2 installs.

Maybe TM China DSLAMs are not very compatible with Zyxel products.

this is a TM rebranded Zyxel with TM logo... Well I am lazy to get it RMA-ed, it's a free modem anyway. Just stick to my riger.

When are we going to get the good stuffs from Linksys, Huawei/ZTE(higher end DSL gateways), DLink or Thompson(now Technicolor)?

TM won't supply those to us for free, sure need to squeeze our pocket dry... Actually the equipments are secondary, the broadband service itself is not even doing well...
