the promotion for hp netbook is over, if im not mistaken.
depends on the server and distance. sometimes slow, sometime fakap, hardly fast.

How should i complain ? Ask them change my snr(UP) or is it wired problem ? B'cos that day the tm guy tell me i should change my wired b'cos is to old.

Oh. On the phone they still give me the details of this promotion. You mean the one where you can pick between the netbook, a HP notebook and an HP all-in-one PC with more or less netbook hardware?

check everything or follow what tm people say.

Guys need some answers...currently using streamyx 1mb, few days ago I was plan to upgrade to 4mb and my father went to tmpoint(coz is under his name). But then my father come back and told me that they say my place can't upgrade coz 4mb need fiber optic cable...is that true?

not true, streamyx uses copper wire. only unifi uses fiber optic.

ZZzzzz ya that's what im thinking too... Don't understand why they told my father that...Already mention upgrade from 1mb to 4mb. Or just those tmpoint staff don't even know what things they selling .

Do i get a new modem for upgrading to 4mbs ?

yep. juz now d technician came to my house to setup my 4mb. he gave d wireless zyxel p600 modem.
port juz capped to 5120 and now, juz waiting for my account to change in d next 48 hours~

after 8 hours since d tech came, suddenly my connection speed get 4mb!
i tot need to wait long, so guess i just got lucky.

test using speedtest but right now TM implement their proudest "dynamic karp-fish thing" since 9.00pm to 1.00-2.00am at my place.
so it karpped to half.

i started downloading after speed got 4mb and these are my hourly stats using bitmeter after d connection.

so far this new 4mb QUITE satisfied la(thanks TM?). i dunno wat happen next.

maybe start getting "slowness" problem or TM start playing their "kenot-imagine" scams to provoke into canceling d streamyx and subsribe their UniFi(thus ACKNOWLEDGED their KARP thing) as they want to achieve "1M UNIFI users goal". <NEVER put 100% TRUST in TM. >

LOL they did say that... unfortunately my area still don't have fiber optic cable

The server is in US yet TM route the traffic via Europe.

Oh BTW, here somewhere in the interior of Sabah, I can actually get stable 4Mb service. My home at urban Kota Kinabalu cannot even get 2MB service. Now if only the electricity is as stable as the Streamyx is....

which area in sabah u can get 4mbps? my area in kepayan cn only use 1mbps T_T

Kota Belud. Not even at the township, but nearly 20km away from it somewhere in the kampungs. You should see my face when the TM contractor says I can get 4Mb service here. Only RM30 more and I get 4 times the speed of the 1Mb service at my KK house.

My IP range is 115.134.xxx.xxx when I do that tracert. I cannot get 60.49.xxx.xxx here. The latency is high because the traffic goes through Europe, plus it seems that the server is located in US East Coast.

Just upgraded from 1mbps to 4mbps. Capped at 5120, getting around 580KB/s max speed. So far so good.

BTW my SNR was very bad, 23/11. The technician asked me if I want to continue, because technically it's very unstable...

But been using streamyx for so many years, seldom had disconnection. So I just got it.



Anyone got worse result than me? 26/6 for SNR LOOOOL but my speed is still stable.

Dont use area to check 4mb, u juz show ur streamyx phone number is it available or not. If you show where you live, they definitely reject you. Same like me but when i show my number is confirm available.

just go tm upgrade to 4mbps but they denied not even send tech come
