ok.. now ur phone is all ok, right? just like i told ur.. SEPC is a savior for all firmware error...

however, the symptom on ur pc is showing that the installed x10 driver on ur pc might not working as it should...

if u have the guts to do it again, which i believe u will, connect ur current phone to ur pc.. make sure all drivers are automatically installed on ur pc...
take note of the usb port u use... sometime, ur pc might only recognise ur phone on this particular port ONLY...
once evrything confirm to be working fine, then try flashing ur phone using flashtool again..
(redownload the custom firmware again... the one u have could be corrupted too...)

also, why dont try install Flashtool on ur office pc.. im sure it will work...

dont worry.. x10 bootloader is lock by default...there is no way u can brick ur phone when using flashtool...

i bet u'll be glad u followed our advice by going custom firmware...

@eugene, this is what I normally do when trying various rom to my phone..

I fresh install the stock firmware using SEUS and in my case BB54 is default baseband. Root and install xrecovery it and using xrecovery I backup the rom and name it SE_FRESH.

Then I will install whatever rom that I want to try or test. So when ever I what to change or try any other rom, I will backup my recent rom first then I'll go to xrecovery and restore my SE_FRESH rom and install the other custom rom. With this step I always save a lot of time rather than reflash again using SEUS or flashtool.

@amon90, install market enabler and set your operator to US (you need to root you phone though), you'll see a lot of apps that you can't see before.

@vaizard, you don't need to root your phone to install dsp manager apk, the latest I get dsp manager comes with preset....but I would advice you to root your phone, so that there will be no restriction for you to enjoy your phone....

@superflash, android for me is for geeks meanwhile iphone and BB are only for not that smart people..... tongue.gif tongue.gif , once you get to know android, you'll feel iphone and BB are dumb phones.....

Agreed with you! Thats why I use Android now..but right now i feel like Android is so complicated..either that or im just not willing to try hard enough. First try was a total fail that left me freak out! tongue.gif

On the bright side, now i know what you guys have been discussing about. I had no clue before rclxm9.gif

DSP manager only works on custom ROM 2.2 and is flashable via xRecovery. Refer to post 3 here on flashing custom ROMs.

Root means you get total access to the phone. Root to do things like remove stock apps, flash ROM, etc. Stock apps are the apps which comes with the official phone firmware, like the Browser, YouTube, Facebook, WisePilot, Creatouch, etc.
