Updating from 1.6 to 2.1 would increase quality not lower it in my opinion. You get 720p HD recording as well.

The difference are the launchers. If you'd like the Xperia Arc launcher go for "EWJET ArcEx V007ex" I'm using this ROM as well.

Camera quality definitely good. You get a faster phone as well.  icon_rolleyes.gif

hhmm... thanks for the reply, if so, i dont think so it's necessary to change to custom ROM, i am using GoLauncher, is it the same wit these launchers? from what i know, launcher is the about the user interface for the phone, changing to different custom ROM means different UI, is it?

BTW, i just installed JIT v2 on my phone, nothing's different, haha smile.gif

edit: btw, how do you check the quadrant score?

No it' not a different UI only. There are also lots of mods and tweaks such as JIT installed, build.prop edits, removal of "useless" softwares, systctl config, memory management, etc etc.

JITV2 should increase your performance from 4XX-5XX in Quadrant Standard benchmark to 7XX-8XX.

Use Quadrant Standard from Market?

using custom rom you can get quadrant score above 1200, mine scores around 1300 - 1350...and the phone is definitely fast and stable and IQ of the phone is really great (although I seldom use my phone as a camera).

But yours is Android 2.2 hehe..

If he values cam alot the custom EWJET 2.1 would be best laugh.gif

@Ivan113
X10 has dual touch, tweaked means smoother I guess? and should work in all apps.

its not "multitouch" like those of Iphones.. its actually dual touch.. it cannot recognised 3rd input
and yes, X10i got it official dual touch from SE a few months ago.. in FEB i think..

Camcorder sound still not as loud as 2.1 (at least now wolf made it better than before).
Well camera can be "fixed" by using Vignette instead, i'm even using it on the 2.2. biggrin.gif

i try both custom rom for 2.1 and 2.2 before, really big difference in terms of performance speed. if u dun mind abt the camera, just giv a try, u can switch back to 2.1 anytime if u dun like it

(sorry if too long)

i've been using Wolfbreak's CM6.1.3 with updated V061. everything has been working well.

suddenly (haa this is where the nightmare started) sweat.gif last nite i gatal2 to install the "xRecovery-charge-offline" zip file.

i rebooted into Xrecovery > install custom rom > select "xRecovery-charge-offline" > done.

then after reboot, phone cannot recognize SD card, telco signal messed up, FC every minutes and etc etc probs! cry.gif

after that i wanted to at least backup some phone data but SD card cannot detect so i sacrifice la, gone thru the custom rom installation procedure again.

and thank God, everything works again, but i'm not 100% sure cos rite now i'm still restoring all the backups and installing the apps again.

so the real question is : (aiyooo so long baru mau tanya kan hahaha sorry)

does this will affect my future use? got problems ka after this? (or it's there but i cannot detect yet)?

I almost install this too tongue.gif but after further readings, seems that the latest xrecovery already include this sweat.gif ...to avoid any problems, try to install the apps again manually not through backups... nod.gif

dont worry.. it wont... kena to me once... that offline charging really messed up my phone.. so i reinstall wolf's main firmware...
all was back to normal... cos the last firmware you install will overwrite evrything once u clear all the necessary cache, factory reset etc..

ya it's normal and it will decrease if more apps you install on it...unless you want the apps to install into your sdcard, you'll need Froyo 2.2...SE doesn't official has froyo but you can install custom froyo roms...but if you can live with SE official Eclair 2.1 just wait for the official Gingerbread coming late Q2 or early Q3 this year...
