1. Yes you can use flashtool to flash Global Generic 2.1.A.0.435 firmware.
I'm not so sure about the one from PC Companion or Sony Ericsson Update Service..

I only use flash tool to root and install xrecovery only.... App2sd and proximity has been working since a few version back for tripnmiui froyo. The one you say not working might be the gingerbread version or if u go use custom kernel.
Have been using it for at least a month I think, so far haven't got any app that give me unknown error -18 (app2sd related error) and haven't accidentally put anyone on hold cause proximity is working as it should.

greetings! can i flash everything back to default status? i wanna clean up everything and reflash & reroot again starting from the start.
ps: mms setting doesn't work for digi. currently on wolfbreak cyanogen.
