IINM, we cant do this. some android has additional LED (not to be confuse with LED flash) for notification.

sadly, our ACE doesnt.

that really sucks. the led notification is such an important thing..and its in almost every smartphone... damn

This phone got Japanese Language ? Setting section change whole phone into Japanese. I want to find a RM1k below Android phone with Japanese language. So far i found SE X8 and LG optimus One don't have.

Just a caution, I found an easy way to brick your Galaxy ACE.....

After you have rooted your phone, if you install ROM Manager from Market and press the install alternative recovery in ROM Manager, your phone will suddenly blank and cannot be revived.
Even if you connect charger it won't show up as charging.
Trying to recover using Odin + Download mode will only proceed until "Setup Connection...". Phone blank and no display at all.
I have not found info so far if anybody manage to recover the phone until this state.

Now what I am going to do to this phone?
If somebody know how to repair it, please let me know.

I just experienced today WIFI cannot be turn ON. After read previous post, there is one way to turn it back

I did encounter this problem with my X10.. but that time i was using cap kambing pasar mlm punya charger...
and then i realized this problem i bought a hi quality charger (Momax brand).. and it solved touch screen while charging..

BUT.. my wife sga encounter this problem eventhough using its original charger and my momax one..

omg..same prob with me..
my solution ---> go back to the shop, complain that my phone suddenly turn off and can't be turn on anymore.. (they can't check whether i'd rooted my phone or not becoz it's completely "died" )
..they said going to claim warranty, but i don't want.
so i trade that phone then topup some money to get galaxy SL.

I suspect rom manager, juice defender or autorun manager that brick that phone.

It is the ROM Manager. The app does not support Ace not sure when and furthermore there is no recovery (CWM) development for Ace yet.

This Ace really really got problem. First SOD now WIFI...WTK!!!
I don't know what else is coming to scare out from nowhere...

Does new firmware correct all the errors and bugs?

I just updated to KC1 through kies yesterday. Till now no wifi problems ... yet ?

Anyway, after I updated to KC1 I had my first SOD.
It was really weird. From 3 am > 10 am today. My battery drained from ~60% to 14% after i pulled out battery and restarted my phone.
My phone felt very warm as well.

Going to try it out for a few more days now. If problem still stays maybe I'm gonna send to samsung repair center

Wah like ka...then I better don't update first...seems like worst after updating. Sigh...

Hmmm. Based on my experience... better not first. Whilst typing this my phone just rebooted itself for no apparent reason

guys i have a question, i bought mine ACE from a dealer i used to buy phone from, my big bro bought it in Sunway, his ACE comes in 2 covers, black and white, but mine is only White.... is there a reason to this???

As far as I know, all SGA comes with two back covers. Black and white.

I'm using black and I have a spare white cover that comes along when i bought the phone.

Perhaps you should ask the dealer for the cover?
