this is from wiki "analog TV" page about the digital TV development in malaysia, don't know who added in, interesting read though
QUOTE
In Malaysia, the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) advertised for tender bids to be submitted in the third quarter of 2009 for the UHF 470–742 MHz radio spectrum allocation, to enable the country's broadcast system to progress into the digital television era. The new broadcast band allocation would result in the winner having to build an infrastructure for all broadcasters, using a single digital terrestrial transmission/TV broadcast (DTTB) channel. Users may then encode and transmit their TV programs on this channels` digital data stream. The winner was to be announced at the end of 2009 or early 2010. A condition of the award is that digital transmission must start as soon as possible, and analog switch-off was proposed for 2015. The scheme may not go ahead as the Government successor, Najib Tun Razak deferred the transition indefinitely in favor of his own 1Malaysia concept, which means that analog television will continue for longer than originally planned.[citation needed]

I guess better put B.yond on standby for the new channels come July 2011.

When we use the B.yond Remote to turn off the Toshiba Plasma TV, it works.
But when you turn it on using B.yond Remote, it goes to Channel 1 (of the TV), instead of HDMI1.

How to solve this ?

Your Assthrow PVR is yet to be activated. Your Assthrow installer should activate it on the spot.

Hi all,

I know there are threads about the equipments for extending B.yond signal to another TV.
But I would like to know if can I just buy a HDMI splitter like the one used at electrical shops?
I don't mind not being able to change channel from other room.
The problem is, are there any HDMI cable that is 20ft-30ft long exist in the market?

Thank you in advance. smile.gif

StarHub Revises Cable TV Subscription Rates From 1 August 2011
-
Singapore, 28 June 2011 – StarHub will revise its residential cable TV monthly subscription by an additional $2 (before GST) with effect from 1 August 2011.

Ms Iris Wee, StarHub’s Vice President of Home Solutions and Content, explained that this rate revision is necessary because of rising content costs over the past few years. “StarHub has been absorbing these costs while enhancing our TV content to customers,” said Ms Wee. “We have managed to hold our prices for the last four years but we are unable to continue absorbing the increased costs. We hope that our customers will understand our situation and support us so that we can continue to provide them with quality entertainment for their enjoyment.”

StarHub has through the recent years, added as many as 15 channels for customers at entry level at no additional charge. These include Animax, BBC Knowledge, Bloomberg Television, E City, Eurosportnews, Food Network Asia, FOX, National Geographic Wild, ONE, Playhouse Disney, SuperSports Arena and TVBS-News. In addition, StarHub had dedicated channels that were event-based such as the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Youth Olympic Games. All these helped to enhance the viewing experience of its customers.

For more information on the StarHub TV rate revision, customers may SMS ‘CATV’ to 76333 or call 1633 and press ‘7’ after the ‘language’ and ‘StarHub product’ options for more details. They can also visit a specially created StarHub-Facebook page at www.starhub.com/tvraterevision. Alternatively, customers may email their queries to starhubtv@starhub.com.

StarHub currently carries about 170 channels over its cable TV platform. For more information on StarHub TV, visit www.starhub.com/tv.

There is a bit of nuisance with it Bro. Here is my experience.I tried the splitter one in two out. My hall Tv is linked to HTS while the room is on its own. Watching both video together no problem. When u adjust ur room TV volume the HTS to increases ! The room tv no sound until u off the HTS,Its just too complicated. Each time u hv to off here and there. Then when u off ,comes the problem of resetting stereo or 5.1 sound on your beyond for room tv to get sound. All I wish they just had a F...... switch to enable one or both the TVs,so think before u get one,I lost almost RM400,incl. a 10m HDMI cable !End of the day its back as usual with the faithfull composite cables!! hmm.gif Maybe some seniors here do hv a solution for this.
