anyone know why we need to wait up to 24 hrs for signal after switching to PVR . while waiting , should it be on standby or channel 101 (as that is what astro guy did)

mine no need to wait for 24 hrs.after installer set everything can watch/record immdtly

mine is a upgrade from b.yond to b.yond PVR . installer told me it could take 24hrs and after 12 hrs , there's no signal

by the way , finally someone spoke , NGOs and CAP have ask subscribers to boycott astro if astro refuse to review and revise its latest package rates and fees

Hi, just installed byond Decoder yesterday and I am able to view all channel. the problem is its always hang and freeze every 4-5 mins. It's really driving me crazy coz I have to switch off and on the plug everytime its hang!!!!..

have called the installer since it's newly installed but installer ask me to call Astro..waaaaa....and i have to wait 2 more days for technician to fix it..Does anyone facing the same problem like me?

boycott? it's not gonna work. not even 10% subscribers will have faith to live without astro for 3 months.

the real issue is we don't have alternative other than astro

If only Unifi HD channel is available nationwide... It would be nice for Astro to take Channel [V] HD, then.

waa.. already happening ? i'm afraid the byond activation issue few months back will happen again and this time it will also happen to byond upgrading to byond pvr because they gave new smartcard, have to reactivate again.

with Sundance HD coming... i think i finally sees some value in acquiring Astro movie package...

i have a knack for movie festival films... especially non-english language ones.. and with PVR, my schedule no longer attached what ever movie or re-runs currently showing only.. which is very off-putting to me previously.... i cannot stand normal stupid predictable Hollywood movies pushed down my throat..

after discussion with Astro CS... my current package ( family + 2 minis + Sports + HD + PVR ) will cost 119++ after tax...

if i took Superpack 1 ( Family + 3 minis + Sports + Movie + Mustika + Tayangan Unggul + HD + PVR ) will cost me 131++ ..

that RM 12 ++ for addition of 1 mini + Movie + Mustika + Tayangan Unggul..

a fair price for the addition.. but the overall price is really getting up and up..

but i really2 want subtitles for HD movies.. if they provide it in Blu Ray.. why cant they provide it for broadcast...

is with current technology and law and standards, it will be permanently impossible for us to have subtitles in HD, or something is happening in the pipeline to allow that to happen in the future?

unifi is not even close as a competitor.. the offered channels are not interesting enough since most entertaining channels are under exclusive rights of astro

My new installation of B.yond PVR (from normal decoder) was perfect. Working even before the installer left. Kudos to the Astro Installer and Astro.

Don't worry RTM HD decoder is coming soon. Lot of channels too...
