UOB one card, CS initiative to block it and will resend another card within one week as part of security.

0162322473 - Similar case with the forumer here. Free 100K Takaful insurance policy. And she got my name and IC and they know I recently received Maybank card. She asked for the expiry date at first, then card number. She spelled out the first 8 digit of my card (which I think is standard for Visa/Master card) then I told her I don't have my card with me, can I use american express... she stunt... then asked what is the 16 digits of the American Express, tada... American Express only have 15 digits not 16.

in a moment of extreme blurness, i stupidly gave my details but after putting down the phone, I thought about it and immediately called maybank to cancel my card.

Thank you. Problem is whenever I edit the first post, it goes blank after I submit it! Give me sometime and I'll try to come out with a format that I can add new numbers to previous numbers . Now, I see first post also blur don't know how to make it systematic.

The 03 no. called me up and said from Takaful Amanah collaborate with Maybank Mastercard. They know my name and home address. Said want to send my PA Insurance policy to me. Curious, I said I already have PA. They said, they don't sell, they just wanna activate only, RM300/year. (DAMN! here they got me lost). They ask for my next of kin, so I said my mom. They want her IC no, but I somehow forgot (LUCKY huh?).

This part I really blame myself:
They ask for CC no. said want to confirm, then ask for exp date and num on back. DAMN IT, I give them the details. Then he said someone will confirm it with me. (FUNNY, we should at least here a music when we pass phone to our co-worker, but seem like he just pass it to next person). HERE, I got suspicious. Say, okay thanks.

Later, I call Maybank Center to tell them about the Takaful Amanah and my "CARELESS" and he said MB never have these collaboration and he automatically cancel my card and MB will send replace card to my desire MB branch.

Later on, the 019 no call me back asking of I already got my CC, he said my card is not valid (HAHAHA!). WTH!! Then I just said I don't want the PA. Just cancel it out. He said he will look into the matter. Then hours later, the 03 no. keeps calling me, I just ignore and turn on silent mode. HAHAHAHA!

Damn these Con Artistes!!! 4Q FRAUDSTERS!!

Added on March 13, 2012, 10:31 amSadly, I have been conned by this Link Club. They will charge you RM4++ (I can't remember exact amount). YES, they will send you some Lick Club Card (also a TouchnGo card), some discount coupon for holidays and shops. But I don't know if you can use them (especially the AirAsia discount coupons for tickets) bcoz I never use all the coupons. Burn just like that.

This happened to me when I open MB acc and get the Debit card for 1st time. Frack!

Happened to me too earlier today. That 0111 number called. I was totally occupied and not really concentrating on the call. Asked to verify my address and IC, which she read out. Asked me to provide the names of my parents and their ICs as nominees. gave my mum's name and her birthdate but not the last 4 digits as I didnt know. Then I felt strange so I just say I need to go and hung up. I actually mistook it for another PA policy that I have. How did she have all my details? I dont even have a warisan takaful policy.

Updated the numbers to first page BUT split into 2 post i.e. Post#1 for land lines and Post#11 for mobile lines.

Got a call this morning from 60326128121 clams I have a outstanding witha UOB gold visa. own them rm8999. card issue jan, card no 5142193244505899. Card apply from pj up-town.
After I deny got such card even ask me to drop by Jln raja laut to collect account info and make a police report.

few minutes later I call card center again 603-2612 8100(got this number online for lost or stolen card). no such account, double check with my ic I have no account with them.

Damn they are good with Suspicious Telephone Calls on CC matters,Calling ID Spoofing

Recieved a call from 03-79501177 (Claimed Herself from Hong leong bank) as i do own a EON bank C.C. (as Eon bank got annexed by HLB, so ok lu~) and asked if i want loans up to 10k.... She did mentioned that i own a EON Bank ING card.. so ok lu...

Now this is the curious part.. 10k... i asked her.. isn't that over the max limit of the card?.. then she mentioned.. Sorry~ your limit only 5k, so max only up to 2.5k loan.. and that makes me feel that she's trying to pull some stunts... and told her i rather borrow Balance Transfer then getting $$ loans

I've also received some promotions from Q-Medic insurance claiming to have connection with maybank visa card.. and to my stupidity as well, i somehow disclose my IC, my address and my card no etc.. somehow after a while i came to my senses and called maybank..

according to maybank there r no direct insurance company apart from etiqa with connection to maybank but the maybank person said there r legitimate private company offering insurance plans to maybank card holders. and i glad enough that the company i was contacted by was actually a ligitimate one..

however he reminded that although this may be a ligitimate one, there r lots of other 'dark' company offering fake products hence maybank discourage any of its customer to disclose any private information via phone.

so a reminder to everyone and to ME as well..

I work in a bank and i had customers getting cheated everyday or just being careless or " now knowledgeable enough". but here is what you guys need to know.

1) NEVER reveal your PASSWORDS or PIN numbers or even WRITE behind you ATM card. Even if they claim to be from the bank cos bank won't need it at all.

2) NEVER reply to emails sent by the bank. 99.9% of it is phishing emails and bank rarely communicates via email.

3) Never go to the ATM as instructed by the "bank negare" people to change pin according to their instructions.

here is some short stories. suspicious call claiming from MY Premium insurance company bla bla, keep promoting, and call my number to find my dad (is that very funny??). den i just entertain them lor (dun be rude to ppl LOL). let them say bla bla bla, and say request for my CIMB credit card number etc.. i terus say "the card i cancelled ady, and now i got no credit card on hand, so sorry cannot accept ur offer, as i not yet meet requirement of credit card" she terus change tone like scold me lying bla bla bla, and what i did, most good, open song, put phone near speaker, and let them hear the song..

initially is my wrong, accidentally gave them the details, and cause shocked unknown transaction on cc, thus i straight called bank CS, and reverse back, after 1 month straight terminate the card. since that time they keep call me, anytime, anywhere...

to the owner of those number, if saw my post, i only wanna say 1 thing. if u wan post, just post, dunwan, just burn or throw, fuk it~~

wah, so nice of you. next time i will be nicer to them as well. hope they are into heavy metal stuffs

i received a call which I can't retrieved the number (sorry for that); but its claimed from Biro angkasa. they want to check with me my full name and IC number (they got it right) but I suspect something not right and just put down the phone

I received a call from 04 2610346 to offer me personal loan from RHB. The personnel on the call said no need to verify pay at all. Just provide them recent EPF statement is more than enough.

The strange is that I don't have any account with RHB (saving or credit card).

MCB this HL bank.
