Operator: Ok. Dari bank mana Encik? (Straight away I confirm scam because hp number and I lied about it being a visa card and they 'approved' it).
ME: Ok Saya busy. bye bye.

Got one call 2 weeks back when i was rushing for some projects, failed scam

Caller: Hello, we are from Card Center KL. Want to know your CC due date.

Me: (was wondering), mana Company you calling from? Which Back?

Caller: No, We don't belong to any banks, We are just Card Center.

Me: (Gets Suspicious), Ok nvm, which C.C you wanna know.

Caller:I wanna know about your MBB + Eon + Citibank Card Number... (wa... all 3 also tembak kena), and even say the "Type" Correctly.. Good Guessing...

Me: (Trys to believe, but that time i only have my AMEX mbb2 with me.), Sorry girl, i only have my MBB2 Amex with me. Alll cards are not with me at the moment.

Caller: (Gets Angry), WHAT? You don't even have a card with you?

Me: (Gets More Suspicious), What? you are trying to lecturing me to get more cards? Who are you anyway.

Caller: (Talking in Angry Mode) We are From Card Centre. nvm, give us your AMEX Expiry Number. We know your Card number is xxx xxx xxx xxx... This i was shocked... WTH, how they know.. LOL

Me: Sry i felt that this is con job, Please Try again later... Tq, Slams the phone.. >.<

Too bad i forgot to ask her name... Crap...

Above is "scary". how the hell they know (1) your phone number, (2) what cards you have and (3) your MBB cards number but not the expiry date???? Report from CCRIS or info from Maybank application data?

I just posted the number you mentioned in first post as B.5.a. Note B.4 and B.5 the numbers are in series with yours. So if anyone get call from 016262765x be careful.

Thats why i get paranoid when my statements are missing. So far 2 already missing, from 2 different banks. I think getting our phone number is the easiest part.

2. What cards you have... i assume knowing what cards could be check @ CCRIS, but HOW they get it i duno.

got called from 0162117917,claim from card centre,but i did not yet receive my card although has been approved last week.they will call again next week.

try to get their name, and know what are they actually wanted to get which info from u
but never tell them on the info requested especially on expiry date
that's what they ask me before this

got called again from the same number,he want to send me a discount card,so need my detail,i just lie and told him i still didnt yet receive my card.he will call again he said,n i will tell him the same thing.

if they call again tried to get some more detail from them

why need to lie? Just tell then you're not interested or you don't have to answer the call.

its more easier n faster to end the conversation that time.no need to talk so much,just say didnt yet receive.simple for me.but next time will take ur advice.

Last night I made hotel room booking online. This morning I received this call +60200 claiming that it's from SCB regional office in Singapore. The girl asked whether I performed an online transaction last night using my SCB card. At first I didn't trust her but she knew the transaction details, such as amount and payee. I said yes, as she only clarified with me the transaction, no other questions. However, I wonder why the clarification was not done by SCB Malaysia.
