Just burn the recovery disc? It works the same.. If just want softwares u can download them from HP website I think.. Cause recovery partition is unique for everyone.. You can't use other ppl's

Why do you want 7200rpm in a netbook? It doesn't really give any performance boost significantly but in return you get lower battery life because of higher power consumption.. It's either SSD or stick with the default one..

It won't void ur warranty, the salesman know nuts... There's not even a warranty void on HDD's.. Just that before you send it to warranty, you need to put back ur original HDD then it's fine dy..

Oh really? Damn these sales people seriously =.= Thnx for your help though.

Tired of waiting for 1215B and saw Vaio YB15 not worth it (at least in my opinion).
Got mine on the evening at LYP.

notebook (without freebies) RM1450
Ram upgrade (8GB) RM220
Warranty extend (2years) RM120

Cant see the intake for the fan. Where they put it? Is it from the keyboard?

It's already here, the C-50 version... E-350 no where to be seen, many mixed feedbacks regarding it, either won't be here or won't be here so soon...

I think about this for a long time and dont decide to go. But when at the shop i realize why not? Maybe i'll use it.
Furthermore, i read somewhere, more ram will save battery.

yup...
because based on what i read somewhere in net....
the first batch their released in US came with RAM 3GB and HDD 320G 7200rpm
then they realised that many of user comment on battery life as it was not good as they advertise which is 9hour
so when the 2nd batch...they switch it to RAM 2GB and 500 5400rpm...

as for me...
i really satisfied with my new "netbook"...
but still hope that they can run a little bit "faster" when loading windows.. nod.gif

There's a lot of guide regarding speeding up ur boot time on the net, just need some tweakings here n there.. 7200rpm doesn't speed up ur boot time much maybe around 1-2 seconds? We have forumers with 5400rpm HDD achieving 28-30 seconds boot time also.. Follow this guide

Boost what speed? Opening applications fast, yea SSD is the only choice.. Seagate Momentus XT is also another choice but I wouldn't recommend it..

To improve boot time, just follow the guide in the link I posted previously, also remove any useless bloatwares and go to 'msconfig' to configure your startup programs... the less the better...

Ic, what's your boot time now?

Try measure with boot timer?

before running, set the program permissions to 'run with administrator'

i've been waiting for asus 1215B for so long that i'm considering this one. I know it has better speakers, but i keep waiting for the bigger screen on the asus.. urghh can't decide.. but one thing i hate is the laptop hinge part. it reminds me of the toilet bowl hinges.anyways, how's the trackpad?

i wanted to get my daughter 1215b e350 waited so damm long and all the bs from reseller if dunno just say so lah... anyways picked up hp dm1 upgraded to 6gb and uninstalled all the bloatware.

/works great screen is crisp clear and not to warm as i was worried as most hp laptop runs hot , great investment

p.s asus you just lost a faithful customer due to your inability to be firm on product launch
