wah i malu besar loohh. open thread of dm1z but dont own one

i hv been to many review sites looking for a discern performance netbook (well anything below 12") which will not burn your pocket too much... this is the only one that stands out at the price i want (RM1500 range wont exceed my budget)... love the HD capability and screen resolution and discern battery life and it runs on Win7 home premium... the 11.6" screen size is just perfect...
Almost thought i had to settle for a 10.1" netbook (screen size was a tad too small for me plus I cant find a E350 version just yet)

Ok now, does anyone know of a good place to get this in Penang? I think not every shop carries HP or this particular model... Is online purchase better? Any input is appreciated....tq

I liked the design of the cover.
11.6" is just nice....10" netbook is too small to do any useful work.
The keypad is very comfortable too.

anybody a bit consern about this laptop temp...
after flash the new BIOS...my temp seem to be increase...
here are the screenshoot after 3 days straight....w/o switching off
doing some downloading, surfing net, watching video and play COD4(1.5hour)...



p/s: i've been wondered....is it amd APU e350 temp could be that high...and why we doesn't see much other brand apply it on their netbook(10.1")@subnotebook(11.6"-12.1")???

Hi.. I went to this shop in Penang (Bkt Jambul) looked at the DM1 that was on display there...i asked the sale person there that if i buy it, can i upgrade the RAM to 4G? He said the version of this DM1 only has one slot for RAM and and can only work up to 2G... Is this even possible? So far from the thread and other preview, this model comes with Win7 Home premium (64 bit) and option for RAM till 8G (with 2 slots). the model code says DM1-3022AX (with a wireless mouse, Anti Virus, and case thrown in). Is this any different than DM1-3022AU that appears on most ads? Does anyone know if it is actually a slightly different model? Price is RM1499. Pls help if u know. Tq

i think you can find it in many shop that is authorise seller for HP product...
but one thing i'm sure is you can go to mobility square and if i'm remembered correctly it's on 4th floor lowyat

after nearly 1 month waiting...
mine warranty was succesfully covered this laptop for another 3 years...
now the i can "abuse" this laptop till the max!!!

cant revert back. Damn HP made it impossible.

I found a f.12 bios someone made that unlocks the advance bios, but the link is dead already.

to upgrade to 4Gb RAM can I use 2 X 2Gb ram?

sure..no problem...
just buy another 2GB DDR3 stick...and you good to go!!

This lappy use what type of DDR3 (1066 MHZ or 1333MHZ) RAM and how many RAM slot available. Yesterday when to PC fair and ask the guy say only one memory slot. Anyone can confirm...
