i think newer Intel's motherboard BIOS settings have a "Burn-In" feature which allow you to overclock 4-5% from the default speed.
but the vcore, vdimm locked Evogenix |

I got the P4 2.8E, prescott 1MB L2 cache. and idle temperature is 42c and when i use to play warcraft 3 3 hours the temperature around 52c, after i close the warcraft 3, the temperature will slower down from 52c to 44c with in 10 seconds. but when i oc to 3.0 the temperature will up to 60c not full load. i think if full load, then ................, so anybody suggest me a good CPU cooler heatsink, less than RM100,
Thermaltake or cooler master suggest me |

QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Sep 7 2005, 11:35 PM) It is normal for prescott to run that hot, but you have to be aware of thermal throttling as well. There will be no gain from overclocking provided the processor is throttling down due to excessive heat. Attached is a monitoring software commonly used to observe throttling activity. |
