I want to break 4ghz~!!!!!...
but hell shitt... i can't get anything further 240 fsb...
meaning that max i can go is 3.6ghz ...

aihh... i;m repeating over and over again in lyn on my ocing problem..
but till now... still no solution... sigh~``...

anything above 240 fsb.. , it'll fluctuate like maddd...
jumping like 3.6ghz -> 2.4ghz -> 2.8ghz -> 1.8ghz -> 3.5ghz -> 3.2ghz
SIAW!!!!!!!!!!!

and YES, i already turned off those bios settings such as, thermal control, spread spectrum.. bla bla....

Hell yea.. still can't get to 4ghz after tried for half a year already..!!!
SOMEONE PLS GIVE ME MY 4GHZ...!!!! lolzzz..

How's your RAM? Haven't tried lower divider or loose timing? unsure.gif

And how's your vcore like? Your clockspeed fluctuates?
*
i got put devider for my ram & loosen off all the timings when i oc my cpu...
but shouldn't be the rams that cause the limitation...
as last night till now i'm running at 250mhz ddr500 2.5-3-3-5 PAT and test stable.

as for vcore.. , i've tried increase the vcore... it seems didn't works though..
at 3.6ghz 240 fsb, i'm 2 prime stable at 1.5v ....
got once when i'm madddd~ ... when ocing fsb 255 , keep upping my vcore till 1.65v .. doh.gif
but still.. it didn't works... , as keep on fluctuating...
sigh..~.. so sad...`

wow man...i think your hyper 48 can't handle anymore heat if u oc till 4.0ghz..hohoho...i already use hyper48 before...its good at idle but not too good when full load...well good luck man. biggrin.gif
*
hmm... if cooling it's the problem... how would the thermal cause the fluctuations of the frequency? ...
hmm... when i upping fsb above 240 , the full load temp. is 70c .
but prescott can handles safe temperature range till 80c right?
and again.. , is it possible that thermal causing the fluctuations?
i never heard intel cpu got this feature.

wah using KVR ram Overclock untill 500mhz.. gang !!  thumbup.gif
*
neh...`.. nothing great..`
i remember got one forumer hit 270mhz ddr540 with his kvr dt-d43....`wub.gif
now that's amazing for a value rams to hit 270mhz ddr540 ...

According to the P4 90n datasheet, a 89w P4 (i.e 2.4A like mine) have a maximum Tc of
69C (Tc=the IHS temperature). Get the temperature close to that and thermal throttling will execute. Here are some power ratings and the max Tc.

90W = 69.4C
92W = 70C
94W = 70.6C
96W = 71.1C
98W = 71.7C
100W = 72.3C

But do remember that if you OC your P4 to a higher power ratings, it will still follow its original default max Tc. This is what I can find in the P4 datasheet. Hope people benefit from this. thumbup.gif

it seems my max Tc is around 71-72c ..
but i did "disabled" the Thermal Control in the bios... as shut down the TM1 ..

Whats your PCI-E frequency when u hit 240MHZ? Mine can hit 125MHZ when i go to 250MHZ FSB even though i lock it in Bios. Oh have u try increase your Northbridge voltage? Try 1.7V, most ppl can go over 250MHZ with this voltage, Vcore dont go over 1.55, unless u have better cooling. I am using the same HSF like yours, but whats your mobo?
*
hmm.. i'm using AGP mobo.. tongue.gif
Asus P5P800 .. hybrid mobo... , lga775 socket, ddr400, agp .... lolzz
is vagp same as northbridge voltage?
wondering will wc let it hit 4ghz...``

Ask Bwan himself, he did a 306Mhz FSB max with his d43 single stick last time....crazy~~

Dual channel I forgot his speed already, all at 3-4-4-8 BT version
*
uh-oh , 306mhz ddr612 .... that must be in dfi mobo..` wub.gif

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
i still not sure what leads to the frequency fluctuation..,
either thermal/heat or the mobo 3 phase pwm ... or ... ?

yeah... i'm curious of what's internal clock ??????????????
mine shows internal clock 4ghz...``
is it the internal clock limitation????

*
more affordable? yes,
performs better? no.
