Your laptop can't play crysis2 even if overclocked. The spec is to low and crysis2 require alot of hardware power that a laptop normally don't have.
I checked your laptop spec to run crysis2 and this is the result.

hey guys. i got something to ask,
I'm using P45 mobo and Q9550.

Is NB voltage =1.35v~1.4v safe/normal for OC?
or is it much depend on the temps? if so, what is the usually safe temp for NB?

I googled already and most of the results stated that 1.4v is normal when OCing. but still, I wanna know Malaysian people's opinion and point of view on this matter especially temps. nod.gif

Any help is appreciated. notworthy.gif

Keep your Northbridge Voltage to around 1.35 1.4V or so
Don't exceed that for long term usage biggrin.gif

ok noted. setting it at 1.4075v. no option for 1.4v lol. but in windows shows 1.37v.

Seems like i can't hit 4GHz. adding more vcore to reach stable 4GHz is just too high for my air cooler. sweat.gif

Have to accept 3.8GHz.

Is the max core temps FOR IBT acceptable?

OK temperature
Sometime reducing vNB does help in stability laugh.gif

eh really? wish that could happen for my proc n mobo. haha.

hmm, but this test ran during night time. so the temp might go up in daylight, about 3~4C more. sweat.gif

and one more thing, is putting cpu vvt voltage higher than 1.4v safe?

Edited: after some tweaking in the bios (searched the settings for my mobo in google. rclxms.gif ), i got 3.8GHz with less vcore (from +337.5mV down to +262.5mV) and heat.

Which way much better result?

FSB 1333
Bus speed 333
Multiplier 12
Total 4Ghz

Or

FSB 1600
Bus speed 400
Multiplier 10
Total 4Ghz

Cool to see you able to reduce vcore
VTT should be less then 1.4V biggrin.gif
