i think newer Intel's motherboard BIOS settings have a "Burn-In" feature which allow you to overclock 4-5% from the default speed.
but the vcore, vdimm locked

p4 3.0GHz prescott can reach around 39-40sec with tight ram timing, and after overclocked to 4.0GHz, migh hit 30/31sec
very nice results for a 2.6c proc overclocked to 3.3GHz Evogenix |

flashed to f10,
so far so good... stable at my previos oc-ing setting i noticed the menu back to F8i based... and added a new option for Ram over 1000MHz i selected option2, but failed to boot, so option1 seem like to be the best for me... Evogenix |

QUOTE(Joseph Hahn @ Jun 23 2007, 03:35 AM) Why when i shutdown and then turn it back on, it reset to the default clock ? the latest BIOS is F12Oh and any tips how to reach 500FSB, i seem to hit a wall at 475MHz (i tried 475x7 @ 1.5V quite stable), but then again maybe it's just the processor. This board is already equipped with F10 bios which is a good bios right ? Anymore optimization that i can do ? http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherb...ame=GA-965P-DS3 I going to flash my 3.3 to F12 later Evogenix |

1. try to play with other voltage setting such as vFSB and vMCH
those setting might help u in ur oc-ing 2. try to losen ur ram's timing to something like 5-8-8-x 3. lastly, if both above doesnt help, try to increase ur vCore. Evogenix |
