I got a new E8400 (replacing E6320) using Gigabyte P35-DS3 (1.0) but nothing comes out! What gives? |

QUOTE(pirateguy @ Jun 11 2008, 09:59 PM) Hi I got a problem. Did you reset the bios?I got a new E8400 (replacing E6320) using Gigabyte P35-DS3 (1.0) but nothing comes out! What gives? If so, did you update your bios to the latest version? Just a warning note.... some Gigabyte P35-DS3 version 1.0 have some problems with BIOS updates.... It is reported in many forums... you might just end up with a dead mobo like I did, had to RMA but they gave me version 2.0 This post has been edited by kmarc: Jun 11 2008, 11:11 PM |

Have not done any update yet. I can recall seeing my BIOS as an "F2" version. Is that version support to work with the e8400?
No way to update the bios without CPU? |

But even with the F2 bios is it significant enough to cause the entire system unit to not able to function at all? No display but got power.
Update: After updating the bios to F13i everything working fine! This post has been edited by pirateguy: Jun 12 2008, 12:19 PM |

I want to ask:
I bought a Q9300 (should have bought Q6600 >_>) FSB now is 1500, why can't I go further? mobo refuse boot, need clear cmos. My friend advice me to increase Vcore, but I forgot what's the value I should increase for both NB and Vcore >.< RAM value RAM >_> only can reach 1000MHz |

Yaya >.<
I dunno how. Someone showed me the appropriate value to set in Overclocking. then I tested with 1000MHz FSB on RAM, and it works! but after I set to 1600MHz FSB for my 9300, the mobo died and everything was reseted. So now I'm running on 1500MHz for Proc, Stock (800MHz) for RAM |

I'm using a C2D E6850 at 3.0ghz. But i'm also using the DP35DP as my motherboard. Is there any way to overclock my processor? I heard that there's no way to overclock Intel mobos

Oh? That won't give me very much of an increase right? Rather pointless then?

sorry, my question will go a bit off topic because i dun wan to open a new thread
my fren is using pentium 4 socket 775, 2x 1gb ddr2 800mhz, gigabyte ep-35 ds3, and zotac 9600GT amp! apparently there are a few weird things on his pc 2nd. his gc, core speed detected correctly, but memory speed only detected as 1750(using rivatuner, gpu-z couldn't start, no idea why) 3rd. no software can detect the accurate temperature for processor, was using speedfan but not sure how accurate is it(realtemp and coretemp not supported, everest not even showing cpu temp) hope buddies here can help me This post has been edited by darude87: Jun 15 2008, 01:36 AM |
