Guys I'm new to bodybuilding, I bought MuscleTech Nitro-Tech (damn expensive) coz of heavy recommendation from my gym mates and my gym assistant, but yesterday I went to GNC and got a ON whey 5lbs since it was on sale.

I'm going to finish my Nitro-Tech first before opening my ON but just wanna know which gives better results for a beginner? Cost-wise of course ON wins, but well just wanna know, for those of you who have taken both before. smile.gif

Better results? Whey is only one part of the equation. You need to make sure your training and diet are up to the mark and that you're getting sufficient rest. It doesn't work to only have one piece of the puzzle.

I know, been cutting down on a lot on junks and following a 12-week program on bb.com, getting 8-9 hrs of sleep every night. and since I'm only a college student I can't really afford the 'other stuffs' like creatine etc, so probably gonna just use protein first and maybe decide about the rest in the future, financial not that fantastic yawn.gif

Get the fundamentals right when u r young. Move to slightly advanced stage as u move along. This includes supplements. Bodybuilding is a journey and learning process.

i'll simplify;

Muscletech = overpriced.
ON Whey = any other whey protein in market as its MAIN purpose is to provide you fast digesting protein.
Therefore;
Muscletech = ON Whey in terms of its MAIN purpose.

but nitrotech being a blend can give you slower digesting proteins
actually if the price difference is not that much
only about 10 to 20 ringgit per tub compared to other blends
but i seriously hate the taste
#iamnotpromotingnitrotech

btw, is there a time limit to comsume your protein shake after adding water?
example: can i mix a shaker full and just sip it through the day?

why are blends better than fast digesting whey?
i can get gaspari myofusion, which is a blend, at the same price as ON 5lbs tub.

like i said, NT is neither blend nor whey only. Not sure what it is. Looking at the ingredients, it mainly says only whey (wide variety of them). Maybe it is blend, but with limited sources of protein. If you refer to other blends, they have casein, egg albumin, milk, whey and other sources which i think is much better.

i don't think there is, as long as it doesn't start to smell maybe? tongue.gif

because blend contains both fast and slow digesting protein.

they advertise that their formula is more superior than ordinary whey, and looking at the ingredients I'd say it is a blend. After surfing through bb.com's reviews on NT, most conclude that muscletech is only a company big on advertising and that the formula is actually a marketing stunt, not sure about that...

Look man, you seemed like an honest guy really doing what you can to get proper information to invest your cash in. The majority of us use optimum nutrition and gaspari nutrition. Bsn is good too. Stick to a blend like myofusion and syntha 6. You can't go wrong with them.

And good on ya going around reading as much as you can.

New and improved this formula, that formula. Unless you tell me what's in your formula, I don't buy it. That's the way I see things.
