Guys I'm new to bodybuilding, I bought MuscleTech Nitro-Tech (damn expensive) coz of heavy recommendation from my gym mates and my gym assistant, but yesterday I went to GNC and got a ON whey 5lbs since it was on sale.

I'm going to finish my Nitro-Tech first before opening my ON but just wanna know which gives better results for a beginner? Cost-wise of course ON wins, but well just wanna know, for those of you who have taken both before. smile.gif

How are your gym mates and assistant? Do they look like Jay Cutler?
*
lol well no, but I'm going mostly on the lean, slightly muscular path anyway.

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Sep 1 2011, 05:59 PM)
Why don't u tell us since u already tried NT and bought ON whey smile.gif
*
NT only for 1 weeks++ so far, can feel more energy but muscle-wise not really that obvious yet, gonna wait maybe 2 more weeks? laugh.gif

QUOTE(-Dan @ Sep 1 2011, 06:06 PM)
Better results? Whey is only one part of the equation. You need to make sure your training and diet are up to the mark and that you're getting sufficient rest. It doesn't work to only have one piece of the puzzle.
*
I know, been cutting down on a lot on junks and following a 12-week program on bb.com, getting 8-9 hrs of sleep every night. and since I'm only a college student I can't really afford the 'other stuffs' like creatine etc, so probably gonna just use protein first and maybe decide about the rest in the future, financial not that fantastic yawn.gif

like i said, NT is neither blend nor whey only. Not sure what it is. Looking at the ingredients, it mainly says only whey (wide variety of them). Maybe it is blend, but with limited sources of protein. If you refer to other blends, they have casein, egg albumin, milk, whey and other sources which i think is much better.
i don't think there is, as long as it doesn't start to smell maybe?  tongue.gif
because blend contains both fast and slow digesting protein.
*
they advertise that their formula is more superior than ordinary whey, and looking at the ingredients I'd say it is a blend. After surfing through bb.com's reviews on NT, most conclude that muscletech is only a company big on advertising and that the formula is actually a marketing stunt, not sure about that...

Look man, you seemed like an honest guy really doing what you can to get proper information to invest your cash in. The majority of us use optimum nutrition and gaspari nutrition. Bsn is good too. Stick to a blend like myofusion and syntha 6. You can't go wrong with them.

And good on ya going around reading as much as you can.
*
Thanks smile.gif still new in this though so I'll stick to my NT and ON first due to allowance problems.

If I were you, I'd stick to ON/myofusion with a 1kg supply of creatine monohydrate (creapure preferred). Ditch NT - you'll know why sooner or later. Since you have read the reviews in bb.com, I'm very sure you'll find your answer.  smile.gif
*
As soon as I got my NT I knew it was a bad choice. tongue.gif will stick to ON as my protein from now on.

QUOTE(-Dan @ Sep 2 2011, 08:43 PM)
My sentiments exactly. If I want whey and creatine, I'll go out and buy whey and creatine, not a 'specially formulated by our scientists in our top secret state of the art lab' blend of whey and creatine.  blush.gif

First time buying protein, kena cheat by beautiful words lor. shocking.gif

yeah on was really watery, maybe because its just whey??

couldnt agree more that myofusion still taste the best 10/10
when i was taking NT, i literally had to pinch my nose to down that sh!t !!! and getting those oreo bits stuck in your teeth ugghhh
*
Dunno about you guys but I'm using chocolate caramel NT, at first when I bought it they didn't have other flavour already except for vanilla, so I had to go for choc caramel and I was like uh-oh, but it tasted quite okay for me despite what others say icon_rolleyes.gif so guess it's different for everyone.

Started farting a lot lately after taking NT, is it because of the powder or is it because of onion intake or other stuffs?

EDIT: Took with milk

Hi guys, is Jack3d good or should I just buy a normal creatine supplement like ON's to boost my strength during my workout? Been following a 12-week program, started out strong but I'm at my 10th week now and starting to feel fatigued very easily.

i've been on jack3d for almost a month now. no doubt that it works, really gives you a huge pump during your weights session! but just so you know, never had crashes like the others but i've had days where i couldn't fall asleep eventhough i take only 1.5 scoops+- (max recommended serving size = 3 scoops). maybe like thrice throughout the whole month? if i'm not wrong, i worked on my back or legs on those days, body was sore as shit but i was widely awake probably cause of the caffeine in it, was really frustrated since i was still awake at like 4 in the morning (i workout at night around 9). My advice would be to go for it but try to avoid taking it at night! Also, jack3d has a little creatine in it and some beta-alanine which may cause itching.

If I take Jack3d any time after 6 or 7, I can be sure I won't be falling sleep any time before 2 in the morning.  doh.gif

Yeah I heard that because of the caffeine, it's not recommended to be taken like 4 hours before sleep ohmy.gif thanks for the feedback, think I will get my first tub soon, got positive feedbacks from my friends too. smile.gif

One of the reason I've been avoiding jack3d even though there are a lot of good reviews. I workout late in the day, so any benefits of a pre-WO supp is going to be destroyed by the fact I can't get enough sleep for work the next day.

Creatine is found in meat. By cycling creatine, do we need to stop eating meat too? Just wondering.
*
Creatine in meat is very little to be significant enough right? And how long since I start should I cycle off creatine, and for how long?

Okay so after weeks of dilemma I settled for AST's Micronized Creatine Monohydrate. The mixability kinda sucks but I'm hoping it works the way I want it to. Anyone tried it out before? I skipped the loading phase because I don't wanna waste, sad.gif

Are we getting the same nitrotech as him ?  blink.gif

lol the 'review' is kinda exaggerated, but for me, with the same workout intensity, and only taking whey protein (w/o other pre-workout, intra-workout shakes etc), my old nitro-tech worked better than my current ON 100% gold standard. maybe it's the extra creatine and their 'secret' blend? brows.gif

Tsk... you poor disillusioned fella. My gains have never been better since i stopped using whey protein. It's all in your mind. Muscletech is crap seriously bro. Blends and casein are way superior.
*
._. uh okay, then what do you suggest I take? I can't eat McD every day nor can I eat nasi kandar with lots of chicken. Get fat real easily and hard to work off the fat no matter how hard I push in the gym.

Guys, AST Creatine feels like sand, damn gritty in my mouth even after I shake my shake for a very long time, yet it claims that it can dissolve easily because it's 'micronized', so am I doing something wrong? After I down the shake what I do is pour in some more water along the sides then shake it a bit to swallow the remaining bits of powder, is there any other way to make sure it mixes in easily with my ON whey shake?
