Some sellers on LYN stock it, as well as Egonutritions in certain shopping malls.

Okay. Back to the topic at hand.
Taste is as big a factor as profile in my book, though some can just force stuff down and it becomes a non-issue. You give me the best supplement profile there is, and if it tastes like piss it's no good to me. What I can't get down can't get used.

Proteins :
ON Whey - Used to be my staple source of protein.
A lot of people swear by the chocolate flavour, I don't think it's chocolaty enough. Just don't look forward to it, and will resort to gulping it down. Rocky road and vanilla is just okay. Strawberry tastes very artificial, total no go for me. Mocha cappucino I would rate as the second best flavour they have, with chocolate mint taking the cake.

5/10
It does it's job for the price tag. And that's what's important. But I've moved on, and don't think I'll be looking back.

Scivation Whey - Grabbed a tub as backup.
Only one tub used, whey is whey and didn't notice any difference effect wise as compared to ON. The chocolate flavour tasted much better than ON, and it has a certain amount of sweetness in it. I would look for this first before ON Whey.

6/10
Taste edges it over the gym-goer standard whey.

Cytosport Musclemilk - Hmmm.
I really don't know where to start with this one. Chocolate flavour tasted different. Different in a good way, though it's still behind Syntha-6 and Myo. Effect wise, nothing out of the ordinary. Which makes it expensive considering the price.

4/10
Something different for the tastebuds, debatable everywhere else. Price is expensive for the effect.

Syntha-6 - Used this when I switched from whey to blends.
Coming from ON Whey, this tasted out of this world. The price hike from whey to blend isn't too painful and the taste more than makes up for it. Protein per serving dropped when switching, and it can get expensive when making up with additional scoops. Chocolate tastes like chocolate ice-cream, strawberry tasted the best among all the brands. Chocolate mint is great, banana is iffy at best. Had decent gains on this.

8/10
Used to swear by this until Myo came along.

Myofusion - Reigning king in my book.
I would rate Myo having a better protein profile over Syntha-6, though I suspect Myo has a higher fast digesting protein ratio than Syntha-6 as I seem to get hungry faster on Myo. Chocolate is think and yummy, toe to toe with Syntha-6's choc depending on what you like. Strawberry tastes a little artificial. Vanilla is okay, got some issues with choc peanut butter and I feel it's too much peanut and too little choc. No problems with Myo, it's the new standard in my book.

9/10
I got four 5lbs tubs in my kitchen now.

Added on July 21, 2011, 10:49 pmCreatine :
Cellmass - Stacked this with NO-Xplode
Hmm, recovery was there but I wonder if I would've gotten the same result with just creatine mono. I suspect I would. Nothing to write home about, except it's bleedingly expensive.

3/10
Ain't working for me.

Universal Creatine Mono - Just plain basics.
Refined, powdery and works as it should. Creatine mono in it's basic form.

6/10
Normal rating for normal creatine.

Egonutritions Creatine Mono - Cheaper alternate
Clumpy, lumpy and you gotta knock it outta the scoop everytime. It's one redeeming quality is that it is cheap....er.

5/10
You get what you pay for. Creatine is creatine, I doubt the lumpiness makes a difference?

Pre-WO :
NO-Xplode - First NO product for me
Effect is probably amplified by the fact it was my first pre-wo supp, so don't take it at face value. Gave me the best kick-in-the-face effect and great energy in the gym. Could just go on and on like the duracell bunny. Effects started to taper off as usage continued, by the time I was halfway through the tub I didn't get any noticeable kick from it. Pumps were good. Fizzy grape flavour, I like.

7/10
Works for me, but the effects wearing off with use is a downside.

MRI Black Powder - Placebo effect?
First use gave me some hope, but with every continued use it seemed not to have any effect whatsoever. And that's just after 2-3 uses. Nothing. Maybe my body just doesn't react well with it. Cheap orangy flavour like what I used to get from the school canteen. Iffy at best for me.

3/10
Not for me

Gaspari Superpump MAX - Does the job
Does what it advertises. Good pick me up, gives the 'ready to hit the iron' feeling. Constant focus, no fuzziness even at the end of the workout. Strength levels didn't change though, but finished my workout much faster and the cardio at the end lasted 50% longer. I only stopped because I didn't want to overdo it and my showlace is untied. **I stacked this with X-tend though** Downsides? There's a shitty after taste that I can only describe as...shitty. I'm using grape.

Update : Don't feel it anymore after half the bottle.

5/10

Intra WO :
Scivation X-tend - Finish line worthy
Noticed a difference when I started using it. Constant flow of energy for me means no compromised workouts, even the cardio at the end which I sometimes skip if I crash during the workout. A good workout means I'm happy. Watermelon is fine!

8.5/10
Great for recovery.

good review dude.
those myo gonna last long ha2
mix 1 scoop jack3d with superpump max for extra oomphh. i might getting jack3d in august, give u cheap2 laugh.gif
*
Can't bro, heard Jack3d is full of stim. I workout at night so too much stim is an issue.
Heard Superpump Max has reduced stim compared to 250, that's why I gave it a test drive. smile.gif

But mixing jack3ed and superpump must be one helluva kick.

cheaper than online sellers, need to plus 8 ringgit for delivery so it comes to RM77. hrm so no one takes the extra serving for post workouts?
*
Usually there'll be a quarter left by the time I finish my workout and I chug it all. So that's like a scoop there as I usually go 4 scoops, so I guess that covers my post workout.

Then they add transports like dextrose and charge you an extra 50 bucks for '<insert fancy sounding marketing talk here>', when you could probably get it for less than 10.

One of the reason I've been avoiding jack3d even though there are a lot of good reviews. I workout late in the day, so any benefits of a pre-WO supp is going to be destroyed by the fact I can't get enough sleep for work the next day.

haha that's cool. you might wanna cycle it off awhile after a bottle. not sure why but many people do so, just like creatine. maybe someone else could clarify this.
*
Creatine is found in meat. By cycling creatine, do we need to stop eating meat too? Just wondering.

I've got good gains on Myo. No complaints.
And taste is important for me. I don't like drinking puke.

Whole food is definitely superior, but i don't see anything wrong in drinking shakes when you are starting out. It's cheap and definitely more convenient. Plus, the protein content is already known.

Point is, whole food is awesome if you can do it, if not, nothing wrong with protein shakes at all. I don't think you need to train for X number of months before supplementing.
*
I'm definitely one for protein supplementation. It's one of the cheapest forms of protein for gram per ringgit, and my career doesn't give me the leeway to fit in 6 meals so shakes are a lifesaver for me to plug the gaps.
