You do the firmware upgrade=cannot connect to unifi. DIR615 firmware we're using is not stock from d-link. Don't upgrade to stock firmware

Luckily you tell me or else i'm going to run TMunifi marathon race again. After some diagnostic and trial with the configuration by adhering to the Dlink manual, my internet disconnection and slow speed due to wireless transmision is now back to normal.

why and how?

Concrete wall thickness, angles , distance and RF (radio frequency) could be the main factor in reducing the strength. Most of the contractors usually install router and telephone side by side. I haven't adjusted my phone as yet but the manual did highlighted the consequences. Even the false advert about Superb strength and Wireless N and Dlink dares to claim that their product won Awards but somehow they still warn users of all this stuff. In the Diagram itself, they were showing strong signal for double storey house. In their manual , they stated "depending on what house u r staying, Double storey house is weak and they suggested a repeater." What an absurd technology claim and too bad that these magazine reviewers who awarded them knows nothing about it.

In the Dlink Configuration setup, Advanced Wireless sub menu, my
Wireless Mode : 802.11 g/b (setup by TM contractor)
Later I setup up to Wireless Mode : 802.11 N

The reason for this is to make the router compatibility for wider coverage in the house otherwise what for to install Wireless N router, right? The side effect is that Iphone Wireless is Disable. Than I readjust to
Wireless Mode: 802.11 n/g/b
Bandwith : (auto)20mh/40mhg
woila! my iphone wifi back in business and im still testing the stability of the connection.

May i know if this is the same thing you guys experience and did it helps to improve the coverage for those of you that kept your modem /router upstairs the house and whether i am right to do it this way..
Those unifi supports call me up twice and close my ticket twice. They promised me to sent the guideline and they didn't so i DIY.

Hi!

Straight to the point:

1. suppose to get UniFi on 28th April 2011 but TM technician make the cancellation because the DP (distribution port) IS NOT ACTIVE?! DP the tiang kotak one. vmad.gif

2. why the hell they make the appointment since the DP not active yet? バカ! doh.gif

3. called TM and they admit it they make the mistake and ask me to call back the next 2 weeks. TMのあたまがばか! doh.gif

4. asked help from TM Point is useless. just complain to my neighbor who work at TM, one of the Pengarah and give details of the TM market department, the one who make call to me to make appointment and the TM technician details. hopes they get punish by the mistake.  rclxms.gif

5. anyone has such problem like mine? by now I should be enjoying UniFi but now i think i have to wait for another month to get UniFi ever since a week i read all your post here.  i even took a holiday just for this.  shocking.gif

This forum is awesome. I learn a lot and now can prepare more before using UniFi.  thumbup.gif

if i have that kind of neighbour, i dont waste time like you complaining the staffs who made the mistake, i rather ask my neighbour to speed up the activation process doh.gif

notworthy.gif will test on it and distance my telephone set farther apart from the router for signal interference. My final option is to get a repeater from D-Link website. Any recommendation for a repeater or i must get back the same D-link brand?

If you were to get the repeater, you might as well just get the highly-recommended-official-tp-link-created-firmware-flashed-tp-link-tl-wr841nd. Erm... A bit bored studying... creating something annoying here xD. Erm... Just get the router form RM89~95 from lowyat and got to tp-link service centre at top of lyp to get flashed for free. You can ask the feedback here. It has got much better signal strength and stability. I don't use that because my router so far so good. Haha...

Hi guys, my unifi just died again.
Anyone have the same problem?
It started with me unable to visit facebook. Then www.google.com also cannot. Sites starting to load slow. Then now my Internet just disconnected. Trying to reconnect through the 192.168.0.1 also doesn't work

Give the router a restart? If still can't then ring up 1300881221 and ask them reset your port.

I've been having the same problem as Invalid Username.

The connection drops almost every 10 minutes. And sometimes I don't have any connection for a long duration of time.

I've called the customer service a couple of times but everytime i do that i have to relate the same problem to them again and again.

Is there something wrong with my settings or is it just TM?

If you actually read the astro side. The astro will be provided through IPTV. They allocate 100Mbps for each user, 30Mbps dedicated for internet and the other for IPTV. Why bother using the old satellites when astro is providing newer and higher quality IPTV.

For the time being... TIME only offer their fibre in mont kiara (what I know)... Astro stated that only places covered by time will have their iptv service. So... I think wait till neck long long also won't get. Unless you spend a million to get a condo in mont kiara.

Transfer of UniFi will cost RM300, which I believe covers transfer, installation and activation at new site.

Starting a new subscription at new site will get you free installation and activation (whilst promotion lasts), but terminating UniFi within 2 years at old site will incur a penalty RM500.

Unless you are willing to wait until you move to apply for UniFi, be prepared to cough up some money.
