I've had unifi for just a couple of weeks now, and it's been unstable from the beginning.
At first, things were good, speed good, tv working, everything smooth, but after only a few hours I started getting dropouts.
A continuous ping would show connection being up for three minutes, then down for 10 seconds.
Later this changed to up a few minutes, down until reboot of router.
Needless to say, skype was impossible, downloads impossible, tv and phone didn't work.
TM has finally agreed to send some help, an engineer will come on Wednesday. But I'm not impressed with the service, having to wait two weeks to get help.
I'm posting this using my digi 3G, as I'm without connection for a couple of more days.

On the router, things look fine when I power it up, then after a while the VOIP light goes red, dsl starts blinking, and then goes out completely.
I have no access to log on to it, but I can log on to the wireless (DIR-615) and its log says:

I've enabled firewall, disabled remote auth etc on the DIR-615, but it seems the problem happens before it even reaches the wireless,
a denial of service attack from the outside. What can I do? I tried to explain to Unifi Service that they need to secure my router or give me a better one,
but the persons on the phone had little to no technical knowledge apparently.
Any advice?

I'm using VIP5 since Oct 2010 n satisfied with their coverage.
My prob is, my bos want 2 posting me to borneo n there is no unifi coverage..
I've go to SC to ask if i can void the contract n they say can n no penalty will be charge, but i have pay all the balance left until end contrct..

Means if i trnsfer 2 borneo on Oct 2011, i've pay lumpsum 12 month left even i didn't use the service, very upset about it n i'm sure a lot of users don't know about this..

I don't know what should i do n wait until that day is come..

Upload isn't the same as download. I'm using the stock router.

Speedtest is not reliable, not even close. The speedtest value can be 3x or 4x the "good" average, and more than 5x or 6x the low average.

I'm not sure where I'm downloading from.

Unifi, Shah Alam Section 13.
Downed from yesterday 4pm.
Called for port server twice, still no line. IPTV still working, exact same block friend of mine using same VIP5 subscription but they have connection.

Must be something wrong? How long will it take requesting a technician to come over and check? Its so tiring to call they hotline which took them forever to pick up.

I asked those UNIFI installers when they came to my house. They only install 2 places in a day... thats why u guys have to wait so long for the installation coz they lack manpower lor...

from the tiang.. they pull cable to ur car porch then terminate there?  after that drill hole masuk ur rumah ya?

did you enable those firewall features... check those settings first

1. assign your PC (which is going to download) with a fix IP
Note: try to assign higher port on your torrent download program, i usually use 50xxx and above

2. setup port forward on the router:
[attachmentid=2183042]

I usually turn-off UPNP

Hi Guys, anyone can guide me how to downgrade the unifi d-link firmware from 7.09 to 7.05..i need to make the router as bridges mode...have called TM..and tok with them for bout hour but they cant help and keep tellin me that this router cannot be bridge please help~~

Straight to the point:

1. suppose to get UniFi on 28th April 2011 but TM technician make the cancellation because the DP (distribution port) IS NOT ACTIVE?! DP the tiang kotak one.　

2. why the hell they make the appointment since the DP not active yet? バカ！

3. called TM and they admit it they make the mistake and ask me to call back the next 2 weeks. TMのあたまがばか！

4. asked help from TM Point is useless. just complain to my neighbor who work at TM, one of the Pengarah and give details of the TM market department, the one who make call to me to make appointment and the TM technician details. hopes they get punish by the mistake. 

5. anyone has such problem like mine? by now I should be enjoying UniFi but now i think i have to wait for another month to get UniFi ever since a week i read all your post here.  i even took a holiday just for this. 

This forum is awesome. I learn a lot and now can prepare more before using UniFi.
