Hi zheilwane,

I tested my house. Only the kitchen tap is direct from the service pipe.
Currently doing extension for wet kitchen.
Normally the piping will direct from the service pipe or from water tank?
I went to search for pump just now and the shop suggest me WALRUS water pump.
Is it reliable?

The contractor said if I install water pump. I need to install also the water tank.
If not, my neighbour will suffer water pressure loss when my pump is on.
Is it true?

Install after water tank.
If you install after meter (before tank) consider illegal.
But i think if one row of houses contain 10 houses,
8 houses install pump after meter before tank, then will only affect the other 2 houses.
the main pipe outside is bout 8 inches diameter, ur house one is 1 inch diameter, i am sure it wont affect much unless everyone install pump after meter before tank.

Owh...Thanks for the info ya. rclxms.gif
My house water pressure is extremely low.
Even nobody has move in yet!!!
If everyone move in, I think there will be no water supply.
The developer said there is air trapping inside the pipe that cause low water pressure.
Is it true?

How can anybody in a forum without seeing/testing your pipes tell you if it is true or not?

It is something that might happen. If so, then ask developer to clear the air. Or just read up on the Internet, just google for the info.

Mine is one with a pressure tank so the guy comes in checks the tank. Pumps air into the tank which needs to be done every 6 months if used extensively or once a year if not used much. I do it once a year. After about 3-4 years other electronic parts need to be changed. So they prove to me its getting spoilt and change it for me. Cost not much RM 200 plus for 2 services (so i get mine done yearly and renew the service contract ) plus some if parts reuqired to be changed. I deal directly with Grundfos in Shah Alam.

Hi,

I stay in a Condo ( 10 - 15 years old). It uses steel pipes, which have become rusted.
Water pressure is low when 2 pipes are open.
When 3 pipes are on (2 showers & flush toilet), 1 shower can't use.

Will adding a water pump solve this?

hmm i'll be more worried about the leaking at the joints when a water pump is installed..

as u said it has become rusted.. when high pressure = easier to burst/leak..

then u got more headache fixing it..
