Wanna ask. Why when i transfer the apps from my phone to SD card the size of the file changes from 20+ MB to <1 MB? So what is actually transferred to the card? If i take out the card and plug it into another phone that means I can use the apps in the card although its transferred there?

Also what is a recovery?? Can I use any recovery for any ROMs? Or there are specific recovery for specific ROMs?

I am using the samsung S2 G model.

Anyone knows how to password protect my gmail? I can't seem to find the setting to prompt me to log into gmail by keying in my username and password...i just click on the gmail app icon and i am in already.

For obvious security and privacy issues, is there away so that the app will prompt me to key in my user name and password everytime i go into gmail?

20+MB is the bulk of the app size, the files being moved to SD card means only left <1MB of files in your phone memory. You cannot use the app by changing SD card, you need to install the app. If you want to transfer the installation file to someone else (maybe they don't have net access), copy out the APK from phone/data/app (you need root privilege to access the phone memory).

Recovery is a part of the bootup (before launching the OS) for you do to things like format phone, flash ROM, etc. Think of it as the BIOS of a PC. Some ROMs have requirements such as EXT4 support, so you need to use certain recovery which supports EXT4.

Anyone got duplicate contact issues while syncing between android samsung and outlook using kies?

I got 800 contacts. Very painful to remove one at a time.

sync contacts with google, remove all then resync google contacts. backup first!
and imho, google is the easiest to sync among all

hi there all sifu, I am using stock rom for my HTC IS,

recently I face some problems with my Facebook for HTC Sense

the problem is, when I upload multiple photo with Facebook for HTC sense,
it can only success in album of My Mobile Upload

then whenever I upload to other album other than that, all the uploading will fail with error message UNKNOWN, I tried to open new album on phone and upload, the error is still there, is there anyway I can do on this?

everything is fine until last few days after I install series of GO software (Launcher, launcher EX, note, task manager, power and etc)

could it be the software conflict? I've remove GO Launcher and use back HTC Sense now, but the uploading problem still exist

First of all you must have Maybank ATM card with Visa logo.
If dont have then apply for one so you can convert the ATM card into Visa debit card.
Go to the bank and ask them to convert your ATM card into Visa debit card. Then ask them to activate you online shopping account. By now you can use your card as ATM and debit card plus it can be use when you go online shopping including buying apps from google store.

But if already activate maybank2u without ask them to activate,aslo can ??
