I'm thinking of finally buying an Android phone but one of my biggest concern is that the phone that I chooes won't be updated to the latest Android version by the phone makers.

So I guess my question is, will I be able to buy a fairly decent Android phone (e.g. SGS 2, Xperia S, Galaxy Note or HTC One X) and install a plain version of the latest Android versions (i.e. the plain ICS on Galaxy Nexus)?

Then should the next version come (Jelly Bean?) will I still be able to install that version into the four phones I've stated?

I am not interested with the Galaxy Nexus purely because the camera does not meet my need of producing higher than average quality pictures, so if anyody would be able to give me their views I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

hi guyz. just got my first android smart phone today. its a huawei x5

so just wanna ask la. if at night, charging the phone without turning it completely off is acceptable or not? because previous cikai phones all never switch off, every night keep on charging only..

ah got another question! about data charge. I am afraid if I dont turn off 3G then it will silently charge me for wtever the heck..

so i turn off and opt to use 2G only. so meaning im safe from all those hidden/unknown data charges?

Not sure if anybody is having this prob with their tab 7+ for facebook app.

Usually when I get notifications - at the 'globe' icon, will have 1 or 2 indicating how many notifications you have. When i click on it the list drops down and i usually click on the notifications individually to see what ppl have written.

Lately, i'm unable to click on it but however, can click on the person's profile pic but it goes to the person's profile instead of that particular post.

Help!

we still can click on the small area before the picture to go to the notification.

However, I tried clicking the same way i click on the notification (aka click on the wordings part), now the notification works.......
