any tools/software to copy contact and sms from one android phone to the other? plan to get a new phone, hope can move all my sms n contact to the new phone.

Contacts - sync to Google Contacts
SMS - use SMS Backup & Restore app to backup on old phone, copy XML to new phone, and restore using the same app

There may be better methods, but these work for me.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here can help me out.. I got a LG Optimus 2X. The problem is, how do I exit programs/apps on the phone? Some of them don't have the exit buttons..

For example, the music player, if I played a song and now I want to go back to my home screen, do I just press the home button? or back button?

I've come across something about android phone will shut down the apps after a while.. Is that true?

if not mistaken,my phone start tis week cant connect to college
wifi
although i try forget the network and connect again,also same
i even try on tge next day to connect college wifi and turn off and
on the phone and try,also same
but the weird thing is,my fren and me also connect the same wifi
with me with using samsung galaxy ace,he has no problem on
connecting college wifi
and only my house wifi no problem on connecting wifi
so,i hope all of you can help me solve the problem,coz is very
boring with the phone that got problem in connecting college
wifi
*using stock rom v10f and stock kernel,no flash any custom thing

Try resetting your college wifi password. Ensure your new password works normally. Then retry on your phone.

Just wonder the android market can be purchased via debit card?

Haha joking. Try and see if your college can do anything about removing your phone's MAC address from the system and you reconnect again. Or just ask them for assistance about the issue.

is it the mac address is at wireless and network > click menu > advanced > and the mac address is there ?
if yes how to remove it ?

Hi all,i got question about factory data reset which at menu > setting > privacy
it say will delete the apps and other data,but is it including the apps which store at my microsd ??

factory reset will not touch your SDcard.

so oni clear the application at microsd ??

i'm not sure what you're talking about. Factory resets will not touch the SDcard. Whatever on the SDcard will be untouched.

I dunno what will happen to apps saved to SDcard, but they will most likely be left untouched. Don't take my word for it though.

Regarding Titanium Backup app:
I got occasional freeze at some point when doing batch restore/uninstall so I want to uninstall it to get another version. Will the already backup-ed app files and its system data get deleted along?

Or is it possible to simply run the new apk (same version or maybe pro version) hoping it will overwrite/update the current free version?

new to Android phone and wish to ask how to create folder in the application area (not on the main screen - which I know how to do it). It is rather messy with some many apps cover across few pages.
