hello guys, i want to know does RAM is importance so much? like some phone have 512mb also got 768mb and got 1gb...what is the different? does it effect phone's performance? and does ram really matter or the cpu?? Thanks!!
having more RAM is better definitely but if the difference between two phones are just 768 and 1gb, no worries there, it is not that noticeable. u will notice in multitasking mainly. also depends on your usage, if you use a lot of widgets, run a lot of apps, having more memory is definitely good. for CPU, depends if you play games (cpu intensive games) or otherwise, also depends on the kind of widgets you use too..whether they are of cpu intensive or not. I'd recommend getting a higher end dual core smartphone for the best experience. Something like galaxy S II Added on June 9, 2011, 1:27 pm

hey guys.
want to ask about how do we close an open apps from running in background?
And is it actually effecting the battery usage?
Im using Eee transformer, not yet upgrade to 3.1 HC.
some apps that are running in background do eat up more battery depending on the design of the app itself. lets say if you have an app that constantly connects to some server every 5 minutes even after you have closed the app (via the exit/close button in the app - putting the app in background doesnt count), this will definitely eat up your battery. however this is the worse case scenario for apps, usually they are properly designed in most cases, but if you're really paranoid about it, you can just go ahead and kill the app if you feel that it is eating up your battery. Some apps will behalf like what i've described above by default but you can set the behaviour in some settings menu in the app itself, so look there and see if you can configure it to the way you want first, before forcibly shutting it down via task managers.want to ask about how do we close an open apps from running in background?
