new to Android phone and wish to ask how to create folder in the application area (not on the main screen - which I know how to do it). It is rather messy with some many apps cover across few pages.

Thanks

^with stock launcher (except TouchWiz 4.0), you can't. With certain alternative launchers you can.

There's a reason why a 'normal' app drawers doesn't allow you to make folders. App drawers serve as the penultimate way to locate an app because it is always arranged alphabetically. For folder-ing purposes you do it in the homescreen. I guess it's to prevent users getting lost and forgot which folder they placed the app into.

Example of launchers which allows you to create folders: LauncherPro Plus, HTC Sense, ADWLauncher?
