QUOTE(foongchinboon @ Mar 5 2011, 12:45 AM) how about grocery? all petrol is 5% rebate? or some is 1%? do you guys have the list? hope u guys have it because i planing to apply The trick is the MCC Code. From my experience, petrol stations seldom got wrong MCC code. But you gotta be careful with departmental stores and supermarkets. To be safe, better go to those stand-alone hypermarkets, you won't go wrong.

QUOTE(Xai-V-iaX @ Mar 5 2011, 12:57 AM) ...or of course go for Maybank 2 cards as its 5% anywhere tho limited to weekend use only... Many people can easily spend more than RM1,000 merely on daily spendings like petrol, utilities and groceries. As such, it is advisable to get both OCBC Ti and M2Amex. OCBC Ti is highly recommended for paying utilities bills. (If we use M2Amex, we do not know if the trxn takes place on weekend or not) For petrol and groceries, use M2Amex on weekends. Done!

Oh ya, of course, there's exception. For example, purchases made in Giant (Atria mall) and Carrefour (TropicanaMall) get 1% cashback instead of 5%. As I said, stand-alone hypermarkets won't be wrong.

Just posted my experience in signing up for M2U for my Maybank platinum credit cards i.e. MC, Petronas and MBB Dua where all 4 cards are linked into a single M2U username without me having a Current or Savings Account with MBB. As for my wife, she opened a Savings Account as she wanted the MBB Debit Card and her cards are linked to her M2U account. Click here to read my article titled Maybank2U for Maybank Credit Cards - You Don't Need a Savings or Current Account.
